I love the Great State of North Carolina, so much so that I insisted on having the Republican National Convention in Charlotte at the end of August. Unfortunately, Democrat Governor, @RoyCooperNC is still in Shutdown mood & unable to guarantee that by August we will be allowed...

Well, blue staters gonna blue state. I'm sure the Rat Goobernor of NC has already made the plans to keep the evil Bad Orange Man out of NC, along with the Bad Orange Deplorables.

A new policy is going to come out of this: Never plan a Convention in a blue state, from now on. Democrat Governors cannot be counted upon to leave the GOP unmolested.

I'd consider it still marginally "red", or "purple" at worst.
Perhaps the "Virginia syndrome" is spreadin' down southward.
If so, that doesn't promise a good future for Republicans...

NC is one of 12 states that hold gubernatorial elections in high turnout years. While the congressional delegation is decent, the governor is most always an insipid "down east" democrat.
