In the month of December alcohol consumption increases as many people celebrate the festive season. But how does your drinking measure up to the average from countries around the world? Find out below if you are similar to a boozy Belarusian or a teetotal Kuwaiti.

Belarus has the heaviest drinkers. Kuwait, where booze is illegal, has the lightest drinkers.

I got "Ukraine", the sixth-heaviest drinking nation on the list. I am not in the least surprised, especially since much of my family emigrated here from... the Ukraine.

Solomon Islands, although even that overstates it since I don't drink the same amount every week. Most weeks I drink nothing at all.

Rather the opposite. Want heavy drinkers? Look for places with less liberty, not more.
