It's called politicized science, coming the conclusion you want to fit a political agenda.

Exactly. That's why I don't like this 'war on science' fight because science is science. It is when politics gets involved that it gets corrupted. Politicians love to jump on something and knee-jerk react (and yes, both the left and right are guilty of this).  They all find their own 'evidence' and fight tooth and nail over it until they get their way legislatively.

Case in point, the microbead debate.
