It is as weird as it sounds...
If you happen to find yourself in Sydney this week, you have the unique opportunity to have sex with the earth. You just need to stop by the "ecosexual bathhouse," which is currently part of the Syndey LiveWorks Festival of experimental art. The bathhouse is an interactive installation created by artists Loren Kronemyer and Ian Sinclair of Pony Express, who described the work to me as a "no-holds-barred extravaganza meant to dissolve the barriers between species as we descend into oblivion" as the result of our global environmental crisis. But they also see their piece as a part of a much larger ecosexual movement, which they say is gathering momentum around the world....

Go pound sand dude...
-
Satire? I mean I like the great outdoors, but only as friends you know...
-
these kind of people used to be locked away
-
Real men prefer Venus.
-
"Jennifer Reed, a PhD candidate in sociology"
Well, there you go.
-
You can love the earth, just don't love ;) the earth.
-
Fruitcakes.
-
I remember when "just another f***ing rock" was just an expression...
-
So...let's think this through. In today's "rape culture," it's imperative to get overt permission before initiating sexual relations. So how do these ecosexuals do that? I'm pretty sure having someone other than the partner him, her, or itself giving that permission is a non-starter. Having come to that conclusion, there's only one possible corollary; ecosexuals are raping Mother Earth!
-
Somebody's got their d*ck in the dirt!
-
Geez I hope they are practicing safe sex....
-
Thought just occurred to me. Does this have anything to do with DiCaprio and that bear? :nono:
-
Go pound sand dude...
LOL! WAIT!
Make sure it ain't an anthill, that's all I'm sayin.

Bear back Mountin'!
Keep the horses out of this. They aren't stump trained.
-
Puts a whole new spin on the term "tree hugger"........
-
This is a great example of the mind-numbingly stupid and narcissistic emoting that currently passes for thinking. Seriously, "If I have sex with ___ it will save it"? How stupid and narcissistic is that?
-
Ridin' dirty...
-
Fruitcakes.
Yeah, and they'll probably demand we bake one for them too.

Sounds like something out of the Judd Apatow movie "Wanderlust". That's what the left does - take insane things that in another age would have universally been laughed at or caused eye rolls (ideas like, "We can control the weather", and "people are whatever gender they say they are," or "we need to pass the law to find out what's in it") and treat them as if they are perfectly normal and good. Deviance made into an institution.
What WFB's colleague Joseph Sobran called, "Alienism - to embrace any and every outlandish, strange, weird, utterly-twisted notion/philosophy/culture as a replacement for one's own".
Leftists pushed a dialectic where deviance was at first tolerated, then accepted, then lauded and now it must be as held as exemplary and superior or anyone who won't is labeled intolerant and mercilessly persecuted.

The other aspect of that is that the Left routinely uses their extremists to make their normally extreme take on policy seem "normal" by comparison. The Republicans have been shoving the Constitutionists and other "ultra conservatives" out the door and not balancing their shtick with demands for a Constitutional government, so they keep getting dragged leftward in 'compromises'. It's a major screwup, and it has been going on for decades.

Brilliant analysis. Dead spot on.
