Title: Brisket has some health benefits, Texas A&M says
Post by: ABX on September 01, 2016, 10:42:24 pm
Quote
Texas A&M’s Agrilife Research agency recently came out to say every Texan’s favorite barbecued meat — beef brisket — contains high levels of oleic acid, which helps boost humans’ levels of good cholesterol. And is, you know, therefore, accordingly, “healthy.”

Of course it has health benefits.  It makes me happy, and everyone knows that happy people are healthier people.

Once roasted for 14 hours with generous amounts of rub or sauce, brisket is awesome

— beef brisket — contains high levels of oleic acid

I thought I'd clicked on "Scientists may have just found proof of a parallel universe leaking into our own" and was really confused reading this as the story...

Who knew that oleic acid was the key to cosmological understanding?!  (Though I already knew that brisket was on a higher plane!)
