If I had a daughter, I doubt I would let her go out with a guy driving a van. :tongue2:

And by the way, Kenny Chesney seemed to be writing about me in American Kids:

Sister's got a boyfriend daddy doesn't like
Now he's sitting out back 30/30 in his lap in the blue bug zapper light...

So yeah... I know what that van was for...  :nono:

It's my theme song in other ways too  happy77

As I've been posting for many years (here and elsewhere):

For Western Europe, there are two choices:
Boxcars,
or...
Burqhas.

One or the other.
No other option is possible.
Choose.

Reports: Biden Eyes Token Border Curbs for 2024 Election

Neil Munro 16 May 2024

President Joe Biden’s deputies are planning to keep accepting thousands of illegal migrants per day at the border but also will make a big campaign push about not allowing more than 4,000 migrants per day, according to leaks to multiple media outlets.

“President Biden is planning executive action that would allow him to shut down the US-Mexico border once the number of migrant crossings reaches 4,000 per day, [said] a source close to the White House,” the New York Post reported May 15.

The GOP is scoffing at the rumors. “In a desperate attempt to stabilize his plummeting poll numbers, Biden is reportedly expected to announce an executive action that would allow him to shut down our Southern Border once the number of illegal immigrant crossings reaches 4,000 per day,” said a statement from Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY). “Biden’s reported executive action is nothing more than a political stunt,” she added.

The promised curb may be meaningless because the White House has already negotiated a political swap with Mexico’s government that blocks more than 4,000 migrants from getting to the U.S. border, according to BorderReport.com.

“We have committed to the United States to achieve a reduction of the flow to the border, so the number does not exceed 4,000 a day,” Mexico’s foreign minister said on Tuesday. U.S. officials “can manage the crossing of 4,000 people along their border, but no more than 4,000,” Foreign Minister Alicia Barcena said as he announced Mexico’s plan to regulate and direct migration through the region.

Biden’s proposed cap of 4,000 migrants a day was tacitly approved in February by congressional Democrats in back-room negotiations over the giveaway border bill. The bill was blocked by near universal GOP opposition, partly because the 4,000 daily cap adds up to a tacit welcome for 1.4 million illegal migrants per year.

Kamala Harris Accepts Vice-Presidential Candidate Debate Offer from CBS

Olivia Rondeau 16 May 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris has agreed to take part in a VP candidate debate hosted by CBS News this summer, the Biden-Harris campaign confirmed Thursday.

The dates offered by CBS are July 23 or August 13, Harris’s team said.

“The Biden-Harris campaign has informed CBS News that we accept the network’s invitation to participate in a Vice Presidential debate, in studio, on either of two dates,” the campaign said in a statement obtained by ABC News.

The campaign agreed to the debate under the following guidelines: “It would not have an in-person audience, that there be firm time limits for answers, alternate turns to speak and candidate’s microphone should only be on when it is their turn to speak.”

“We look forward to the Trump campaign accepting one of these dates so that the full debate calendar for this campaign can be set,” the Biden-Harris campaign said.

Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump has yet to select a running mate. The presumptive Republican presidential nominee has already agreed to two debates before the general election — one with CNN on June 27 and one with ABC News on September 10.

Trump has previously said he’s putting off picking a vice-presidential candidate until closer to the Republican National Convention (RNC) in mid-July.

“Well, I’m not in a rush and we’ll do it sometime around the convention, but we have a lot of great people in the Republican Party,” the Republican said in an April interview with 6ABC.

:bkmk:  Nothing is going to happen to the Biden's -- too much corruption and following that money trail will reveal not only his involvement but the involvement of his cronies. The DEMS have too much power and the DOJ is far too corrupt.

Mr. Trump isn't taking my calls at the moment, but if he did I would advise him that accepting the offer before knowing "the rules" laid down by the leftists was a mistake, and to use them as an excuse to back out "for cause" while he still can.

An absolute requirement would be that any debate be held in front of a live audience, to prevent "editing" later on. Or perhaps even editing "in-progress".

CNN should be a no-go from the get-go.

And an equal number of moderators, half picked by the left and the other half by Mr. Trump. If only one moderator, the two sides submit 5 names each and the winner be drawn from a hat.

Better yet, NO debates at all.

I won't be watching in any case, but I see this as being only detrimental to Mr. Trump's chances, with no "gains" to be made -- unless ol' white joe suffers a complete breakdown at the podium...

My hunch is that it won't be a live debate, but pre-recorded and then televised with 'enhancements' and 'deletions' made to help Brandon.

(sigh...)

If I were Ms. King-Slutzky, I think I'd change my name...

Why did we hear not too long ago that their net worth was well above $10 million? Now it's under $2.6 million? The Chinese, Ukrainians and God knows who have been funneling gobs of money to this criminal for many years - so where is it?

I'm not buying it.

Somewhere offshore possibly.
