Sen. Ted Cruz got in a Twitter battle with actor Mark Hamill and lost - badly

On Sunday, Texas Sen. Ted Cruz took to Twitter to use a "Star Wars" reference about net neutrality to actor Mark Hamill, but his explanation wasn't well received.
"Luke, I know Hollywood can be confusing, but it was Vader who supported govt power over everything said & done on the Internet. That's why giant corps (Google, Facebook, Netflix) supported the FCC power grab of net neutrality," Cruz tweeted at Hamill Sunday, using the incorrect Twitter handle for Hamill.
"Reject the dark side: Free the net!" Cruz concluded his tweet.
Within an hour, the veteran "Star Wars" actor fired back with a quick response.
"Thanks for smarm-spaining it to me," Hamill wrote. "I know politics can be confusing, but you'd have more credibility if you spelled my name correctly. I mean IT'S RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU! Maybe you're just distracted from watching porn at the office again."

Sumpin ain't right here.

That's funny - the bit I heard on the radio about this said that Hamill lost and shouldn't have tangled with someone so much smarter than he is. I guess it depends on who you like and who you don't.

It appears to be fortunate, that Sen. Cruz has three years left to learn how to effectively use Twitter.
Maybe Cruz could use a copy of "Win Bigly," by Scott Adams for Christmas.
In the book (or on his periscopes and YouTube appearances) he teaches about such "persuasion" tools as "linguistic kill shots."
I'll respectfully submit that one of Sen. Cruz's bigger challenges may prove to be brevity. Just sayin'
"Low energy Jeb," and "crooked Hillary" stand near the top of the list of examples.

It's the Houston Chronicle, US Texans have learned to expect this from this rag, besides this is more proof I can post other than pro-Ted, anti-Trump articles.

'Zackly. It's obvious who the Comical likes. And doesn't.

Cruz didn't 'lose' squat.
But I will grant you that Leftists are real good at snarking over minutia.

Exactly. No one will convince me that some Hollywood actor is a better debater than Cruz, ever.

About 6 or 7 months ago the local Comical distributor offered me a free 6 month subscription which I politely declined. He asked me why so I told him and he threatened to throw one in my yard every day regardless. I told him that if I saw a single one in my yard I was going to sue him.
Haven't seen a one.
