I remember a day when we all got our fake news from the National Inquirer.

From the article….

Democrats traditionally perform better with non-white voters, and along with the changes to Texas's demographics, people from Democratic stronghold California have poured into the Lone Star State in recent years. As the state's population has become more favorable to Democrats, statewide elections have been more competitive in the past decade.

This has happened to a lot of Western states

These people fleeing California’s progressive policies, and bring them to other states

They both have the $$ and the notoriety to buy the seat.  Oprah may not want it, but I can see Markle wanting that seat; afterall she was cheated out of royalty and this would be her claim to fame.

Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle reportedly floated as potential replacements for Dianne Feinstein

Oprah Winfrey and Meghan Markle are reportedly among those being considered to replace late Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.

Winfrey's name is among those being floated for the role, according to Newsmax and The Desert Sun, but the successful TV host-turned-billionaire book publisher and entrepreneur indicated as recently as in May that she "is not considering the seat should it become vacant," according to the Los Angeles Times.

It was announced Friday that Feinstein died at age 90. All eyes have since turned to Democratic California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who will appoint someone to serve out the remaining 13 months of Feinstein's term. The two term governor, who attended the second GOP debate in Simi Valley last week on behalf of President Biden's re-election campaign to lead counter Republican messaging, has stated in the past he will appoint a Black woman to the Senate in the event of Feinstein's passing.

Newsom reportedly has national ambitions of his own amid rumors of a potential 2028 presidential run. As recently as earlier last week, Newsom insisted he would not challenge Biden in 2024. Meanwhile, sources told The Daily Mail that the Duchess of Sussex's name has also been thrown in the ring as Feinstein's potential replacement. ................

Maybe it's 50...500...5000...50,000...500,000...5,000,000?  I'd wager it's a rather large number, probably in the 500,000 range or more.

Impossible to prove one way or the other but I believe Joe Biden received the most anybody-but-the-other-guy votes in Presidential election history.  Even more than DJT did against Hillary.

How Texas has shifted into a 'battleground' going into 2024
by Jack Birle, Breaking News Reporter

Texas has long been considered a Republican stronghold, but the GOP is not taking the Lone Star State for granted going into 2024.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who nearly lost his seat in 2018 after a strong showing from Democrat Beto O'Rourke, says his campaign is treating his 2024 campaign "deadly serious."

"Texas is a battleground, and I'll tell you we are taking this Senate reelections deadly serious. My last reelection, as you noted, six years ago was, at the time, it was the most expensive Senate race in U.S. history. We were outraised, we were outspent 3-to1," Cruz said at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin, Texas, on Sept. 23.

As Texas's population has increased and demographics have continued to change, Democrats have become more competitive in the state throughout the past decade.

Texas's population has grown from 26.4 million in 2013 to an estimated 30 million in 2022, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. As the population has increased, the percentage of white voters in the state has shrunk. In June, Hispanics and Latinos became the largest racial group in the state.

Democrats traditionally perform better with non-white voters, and along with the changes to Texas's demographics, people from Democratic stronghold California have poured into the Lone Star State in recent years. As the state's population has become more favorable to Democrats, statewide elections have been more competitive in the past decade.

The electric rear drive system contributes up to 282 hp of power, retaining the same level of performance even when the truck is fully loaded

Ford recently revealed the plug-in hybrid version of the Ranger but another and much more capable self-charging hybrid version of the midsize pickup is now available in the form of an aftermarket conversion. The Ranger HEX 6×6 created by engineering firm Ricardo benefits from a bolt-on hybrid system, an extra axle, and a bespoke rear suspension layout, promising to significantly improve its cargo-carrying capabilities on rough terrains.

Ricardo published a single photo of the Ranger HEX 6×6, which appears to be based on the extended cab bodystyle featuring a longer rear bed, an extra axle, and an increased ground clearance. The De Dion arrangement for the rear suspension is said to improve traction while allowing 6×6 or 6×4 configurations according to the customer’s preferences.

The stock 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine remains under the bonnet but benefits from the assistance of a “self-contained” electric rear drive system effectively converting it to a hybrid. The electric motor produces up to 282 hp (210 kW / 286 PS) of additional power, charging the battery pack via regenerative braking. It can be combined with different battery options depending on the use. The goal is for the electric assistance to retain the same level of performance even when the truck is fully loaded, and lower fuel consumption. All of the high-voltage components are placed in a single enclosure making it easier to service.

They will continue to ignore the evidence until they can’t

There is plenty of evidence. You have to admire the left tenacity to still ignore the overwhelming evidence.

And this bill is the shit sandwich Roy knew would be the consequence of voting down that bill.  Stupid is as stupid does.

He is correct.  Gaetz and his minions screwed up big time. They have to realize that an appetite for a Government shutdown isn't there.  It might be here and on various social media sites but it doesn't represent the true feelings of the American public. They are tired of these theatrics and they want results!
