Fire and Fury: Donald Trump Says ‘Getting Your Friends' Wives Into Bed’ Makes ‘Life Worth Living’
By Tyler O'Neil January 4, 2018
One of the revelations in Michael Wolff's forthcoming book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House seemingly confirmed a nasty secret about Donald Trump. Not only does he brag about sleeping with other men's wives, he actually targets the wives of his friends, according to the book.
"Trump liked to say that one of the things that made life worth living was getting your friends' wives into bed," Wolff wrote. He added disgusting details as well.
"In pursuing a friend's wife, he would try to persuade the wife that her husband was perhaps not what she thought. Then he'd have his secretary ask the friend into his office; once the friend arrived, Trump would engage in what was, for him, more or less constant sexual banter," the book claimed.

I promise, I struggled as to where to put 'THIS', please delete or move if inappropriate @Mods.

This sh__ doesn't pass the red faced test.
You know what you call guys who play these kinds of games? Dead Men
-
Christ. This book gets more discredited by the day. Folks "quoted" in it are saying it isn't even close to what they told this Commie. The publishers are rushing this book to sale tomorrow because if they wait a minute longer, no one will buy it because of all the problems being pointed out. It's Leftwing fantasy porn.

Us Nt'ers are counting on this book to give us impeachable evidence, don't pee on my parade @Frank Cannon

Good luck with that. You can stack it on top of the ass grabbing charges and Russian dossier when it blows up in your face.

I can’t find it now but wasn’t there an appearance on the Howard Stern show where Trump bragged about seducing and bedding other men’s including his friend’s wives?
It is not new news about what Trump is when it comes to women.

The problem for Trump is that he himself has spent the last 30 years making these claims believable. And the problem for these snarky lil Trumpers is that simply declaring this to be over doesn't actually make it go away.

No, it doesn't. It also doesn't cut any new ice concerning his character (or lack thereof). I'd call it a wash. It will, however, give the talking heads something new to obsess over for the next couple weeks, and that's fine with me because I'm tired of hearing about Rocket Man with the Tiny Button.

@Cripplecreek
Oh well it's on Howard Stearns show, it must be true. Lol more deranged every single day

The video and the recordings are real. Trump has made some really gross and telling things about himself and his sex life and what he really thinks of women. It is not "fake news" when he is on video saying such things.

I've been a nevertrumper for more than 30 years when Trump started appearing on trashy tabloid TV as a willing participant in the 1980s.
-
Raise your hand if you think there is no way Trump said something like this? Anyone? Bueller?
Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame. That says it all.

@Neverdul
You NTs call him a liar and then believe everything he says. Don't be a chump
He's an entertainer. He says garbage for his audience. People who listen to that show love that stuff. Doesn't mean it's true

Trump and Stern are birds of a feather and both do indeed tell their audiences exactly what they want to hear.

Remember the good old days when we had a 24 hour news cycle?

So, is this today's new shiny object to follow??

Yup. Both entertainers. Both barkers at the geek show. But only one's the President of the United States.

Me too. Coming from NY state I was well aware of what he was really like.

I admire you for trying, @driftdiver. But NeverTrumpers will never give an inch—never. To do so would shatter their cocoon of ignorance and self-righteousness.
-
So true
-
ANd that fact sticks in your craw.
Well, sure. And it's not just because, like so many of us old Reaganites, I'm nostalgic for a President who personifies the dignity and majesty of the office. Trump's 24/7 reality show is keeping him from accomplishing his objectives, most of which are soundly conservative. The Dow's at record levels, economic growth is a solid 3-plus percent, and the regulatory state is slowly being brought to heel. Yet the President's approval ratings have tanked, because he's a walking, talking embarrassment.
-
@Wingnut He's cute, isn't he, when he gets all concerned?
-
..... Trump's 24/7 reality show is keeping him from accomplishing his objectives, ....
Nonsense @Jazzhead This sounds like you need to pay closer attention to the facts and less to the gossip.
-

@aligncare
Thank you for the kind words but I've given up. Its more like rubbing their noses in it. Trump is a rude crass guy who was born with a gold spoon. The one thing he is really really good at is sales/marketing. He knows how to read his audience and give them what they want.
I think thats why he does twitter, because his base LOVES to see how insane it makes his detractors.
He was on the Howard Stern show and said rude things. Thats kinda what you do on that show. Nice moral people don't appear on that show.
At least Trump is honest enough to show this side of himself. Most of our politicians pretend to be moral law abiding people and then are worse then pond scum in real life.

Reaganites? Where?????? I doubt you would know a Reaganite if they kneed you in the groin.
-
Nonsense @Jazzhead This sounds like you need to pay closer attention to the facts and less to the gossip.
NeverTrumpers live each day to despise the president. Hate is their life blood, it gets them out of bed each day.
But the country will go on improving under Donald Trump with or without their constant bleating. They are a minority of a minority and rightfully so.
-
Nonsense @Jazzhead This sounds like you need to pay closer attention to the facts and less to the gossip.
RIV, President Trump is by and large governing soundly as a conservative. That's fantastic. But the reasons I couldn't vote for him last fall still bother the heck out of me - his temper, temperament and egotism (and, increasingly, it seems, his perhaps justifiable paranoia). These are dangerous qualities in a President - especially when the media seems obsessed with kicking a cornered dog.
-

I voted for Reagan in 1976. He was the greatest President of my lifetime.

Oh bullshit. I don't hate the President. I want him to succeed. In some ways, he is. But he's his own worst enemy.

If we could just get you religious bigots to stop trying to ram your morals down the President's throat...

Yessiree. All puffed up and nothing to blow out.

I can understand that the ETs are very concerned about this and that is making you all very nervous. Just as it is not fair to smear ETs for supporting Trump, it is also not fair to smear NTs for not supporting Trump. Instead of going for personal insults, it might be more useful to discuss the topic of this thread.

Stick to the topic and leave off the veiled personal insults.

What difference, at this point, does it make?

Well, speaking only for myself @Sanguine it doesn't make me nervous at all. It rather makes me chuckle. ^-^

There’s a report in the Michael Wolff book suggesting President Trump didn’t know who former House Speaker John Boehner was.
Only problem? Donald Trump has known John Boehner for years, played golf with him a number of times.
So, what else has Michael Wolff lied about?
If he wanted to pursue it, Donald Trump would have one hell of a lawsuit against this lying creep Michael Wolff.
-
Noticed that Michael Wolff is all over the lying media this morning. The lying media loves lying liars like Wolff.

Did you have a point or just telling us your general attitude?

Thanks for the link, RIV. Believe me, I want to think the best of this President, and much of what he has done I can strongly support. But the other day, he was tweeting about how his nuclear button was bigger than the Rocketman's. Sorry, but joking about nuclear war just makes me nervous.
-

As am I. Trump has got to get his act together, and project the confidence and gravitas of a leader. Not a game show host.

Was it in the fiction section?

That may well be, but whether true or not is not the issue. It's going to cause problems.
-
Did you have a point or just telling us your general attitude?
Well @Sanguine ... it's a little of both.
Generally I find it funny that, IMHO, any title that promises salacious gossip about sex drives many here to the thread like moths to a flame. But, it's usually a fun thread to visit, so this will get just a laugh and no complaint from me.
Specifically, I found it funny that you posted this would "cripple" Mr. Trump's presidency. It took me back to all the hundreds of times I was told "this is it", "he's finished now", it's a "death spiral" ... and this just triggers my giggle reflex. (In fact folks here are asking me what's so funny as I type this. )
So, thanks for asking. I've got to tend to life now.
-
That may well be, but whether true or not is not the issue. It's going to cause problems.
Only for 24 hours. Tomorrow they will have moved on to a new trump tweet or some such new shiny object dangled in front of their lying eyes.. Just wait for it.

I love the red button dust up, done perfectly by Trump.
Richard Nixon did the very same thing with the North Vietnamese. One day he threatened to unleash the bombers on the north. The next day he’d moderate his tone only to ramp it up again the following day.
I guarantee Kim Un has no doubt that Trump would incinerate his little two bit fiefdom in a heartbeat.
Perfect. That’s how you threaten a dictator, not like the wussy Obama or Bill Clinton did.

One doesn't need to be a "lefty" to be concerned about the President's (to quote Rich Lowry) "volatility, jealousy of media attention and loyalty that only runs one way".

Rich Lowery is hardly a good source for unbiased opinion. He had a hate on Donald Trump since the moment he entered the race for president. And remember the NeverTrump issue of NRO? He’s still smarting from Hillary’s loss.

Fine - but I'm interested in what you think. Do you think the President's personality is characterized by "volatility, jealousy of media attention and loyalty that only runs one way"? If not, why not?
(For what it's worth, the Lowry column I took that quote from excoriated Bannon, not Trump.)

What I think is the president is in a hostile environment – no secret there – and he is fighting back against an entrenched bureaucracy and a lying democrat supporting media. And this is what fighting back looks like.
George Bush was in the same hostile environment. How did he fight back? Crickets, that’s how. And look how THEY destroyed his presidency, tanked the economy and ruined his legacy.
I think Donald Trump learned from that and is determined not to fall into the same trap.

Understood - obviously he needs to fight back, and I agree that the media environment is without precedent in its hostility. But do you think his impulsive tweets and mercurial actions are a wise way to do it? It's not just liberals who are alarmed by the President's temperament. Can you understand that, for so many of us, his conservatism in office is a wonderful thing, but his temperament and rages and jealousies scare us, not just for their own sake but because we fear he is doing harm to his (and our) agenda?
-
Is this true?
I don't know, but it doesn't seem out of character, sadly.
-

Why character counts.
Unfortunately Trump fans happily celebrated this descent into the sewer as if it meant he was a tough street fighter when in reality he's the same rabid sewer rat we all knew he was..

I don't think it matters, @Cripplecreek. People who liked him before still will, people who did not will still not like him. I don't think the needle on the gauge moves at all, at the end of the day.
-
The leftists mental midgets will believe it and take it as the 'gospel truth' ... even though Wolff has admitted that there are bits and pieces of his book that he doesn't know if they are completely true or not and have not been verified as fact ... so in essence his book is fictitious and these pages of smut are put out by someone who belongs in Hillary's basket of deplorables. The guy should be sued for slander.

Unfortunately, in this environment it’s open season on Donald Trump.
And to those that question whether his behavior is right, well that’s the personality of the guy America wanted as president. It’s not as if during the campaign he hid his personality. Secondly, just look at his winning results.
He took out the Bush and Clinton dynasties with that personality (and we learn that Hillary may finally, possibly, be indicted and prosecuted); he exposed media bias with that personality and is fighting successfully against it; he projects America’s strength and resolve on the world stage and is again getting respect from our friends and allies and fear from our enemies.
And every time folks start clutching their pearls over some “stupid thing†he said, the next day he’s proven right. In other words, that quirky personality of his is winning the day. Results matter, that is the substance of an effective president.
