Republican pollster Frank Luntz said Wednesday that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio would be leading Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton by eight points if he was the Republican presidential nominee.
In addition, he told Yahoo Global News anchor Katie Couric that Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who battled for the GOP nomination during the primary season, would be besting Clinton by 12 points. He said Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who also fought hard against Trump but ultimately endorsed him, would be “dead even” with the former secretary of state right now....

I don't know how accurate Luntz is, but some interesting thoughts.

I doubt it...they would have tried to destroy Rubio too..that is their MO
If they can demonize Mitt I can only imagine what they would do to Marco.

I wasn't aware that it was debunked. I'm not saying that it was him, just that it was a story that I had heard, I'm sorry that my post appeared to be touting a not true story.

Thanks for the mindless sophistry Frank. Let me add that if Reagan was running he would be 50 to 60 points ahead and if Abraham Lincoln was running he would be 30 to 40 points ahead.

They try to destroy all Pubbie candidates. They've been doing that more than half a century. I remember the Goldwater campaign. Goldwater probably never had a chance after the Kennedy assassination and the sympathy vote.
But nevertheless, he received an avalanche of hate from the media who tried to convince Americans Barry wanted to blow up the world his first day in office.
Rubio was not my first choice. But he carries none of the personal baggage of Trump, and that is not a small thing. He's younger, a lot more physically attractive than Trump, a lot smarter, and clearly not crazy.

If Cruz isn't up, it is ONLY because team Trump worked so hard to besmirch the character of this good conservative, since he was the primary threat to Trump.
Without Trump, we'd all be looking fondly on Cruz and laughing at the Clinton Crash.

Except that Rubion and Kasich BEGAN the primary season polling way ahead of Hillary, and Trump polling way behind her.
Rubio, Kasich and even Jeb would be ahead double digits by now.
Trump wasn't destroyed by the Clintons or the MSM.
