I've managed to avoid such strikes through the creative use of collective bargaining.
"Sorry I stayed out so late drinking with the guys last night... I'd love to make you a nice dinner tomorrow..."
"I know I didn't need to buy another gun, honey... now tell me: how many pairs of shoes do you have again?"
"I'm glad you loved the flowers I sent you (and I also love the box of cigars I bought for myself)..."

Something about me snoring so bad that eventually we agreed to do separate bedrooms...... I have forgot which one she stays in now days, but watch out if I ever do find that little fox.
