Amazon Now Offers Biden Help with Coronavirus Vaccine Distribution
Joshua Caplan 20 Jan 2021
Hours after former President Donald Trump’s presidency drew to a close, Amazon offered President Joe Biden assistance in distributing coronavirus vaccines.
“As you begin your work leading the country out of the COVID-19 crisis, Amazon stands ready to assist you in reaching your goal of vaccinating 100 million Americans in the first 100 days of your administration,†Dave Clark, CEO of Amazon’s consumer business, wrote in a Wednesday letter to the Biden administration, which was obtained by NBC News.
“We are prepared to leverage our operations, IT, & communications capabilities and expertise to assist your administration’s vaccination efforts,†Clark continued. “Our scale allows us to make a meaningful impact immediately in the fight against COVID-19, and we stand ready to assist you in this effort.â€
“We are prepared to move quickly once vaccines are available,†he added. “We are committed to assisting your administration’s vaccination efforts as we work together to protect our employees and continue to provide essential services during the pandemic.â€
Clark has requested employees at Amazon fulfillment centers and Whole Foods grocery stores “who cannot work from home,†receive the vaccine as soon as possible.

There's just no end to the liberalization and globalization of our country.
We were so darn close to taking our country back. So close. :patriot: :patriot: :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:

Accepting for a moment the Vid is as deadly as the government/business cabal say it is, I take this to mean Amazon would’ve withheld their help and would’ve had been ok letting Americans die if the election had gone the other way.

Yep. That's how I see it. They've already been OK with sitting on the sidelines for the past 8 weeks waiting for Trump to leave office before offering help.

This kind of cold blooded self interest should give everyone pause - does not bode well for a future with big corporations embedded in government as they now are in Bidens administration
-
It also shows how little empathy liberals really have.

Whatever they're prepared to offer to Biden, they could just as easily have offered to Trump. They didn't, so clearly they bear significant responsibility for the deaths that have occurred since the vaccine was approved.
But they don't care whether people live or die, only whether they are reinforcing correct politics.

Amazon just keeps insisting that I stop doing business with them.

i feel the same way. But my wife and I feel like they are an integral part of our life since the lockdown here. Plus, we ditched Netflix, so that is our only source for streaming videos. I am consciously making an effort to minimize how much business we do with them - buying direct from manufacturer when possible, even if shipping costs more and is slower, reading books instead of renting movies, etc. But ultimately I think it’s not possible to boycott every leftist company unless your plan is to go live in a cave somewhere.

We are in a similar position. We are very rural (closest Walmart is 70 miles away). We also got rid of Netflix and use Amazon for streaming. I’ve discontinued all of my reoccurring purchases with them and am trying to order from them only if I have to.

Is the problem getting the vaccine to the locations that administer it? The problems I am hearing about are people don't want to take it, so they end up with extra doses, and then state rules prohibit them from giving those doses from whoever would be next in line because those groups haven't been cleared to get it yet.

It's not if it doesn't stream videos, which is what the quote by you above states. Steaming videos is why ROKU's exist. There are literally thousands of videos, movies, and tv channels you can stream with the ROKU. Hell,I use my ROKU to stream Amazon and Netflix. Right this minutes I have a series titled "Frontier" on Netflix paused so I can check my emails.

It streams videos. I use it to stream videos from Amazon, Disney, YouTube, and YouTube TV. In the past, I had subscriptions to CBS and Netflix and used it to stream those. I've also used it to stream OANN and NewsMax. I'm drawing a distinction between the device and the streaming service. Most of these devices can stream all the same content, although sometimes with a difference in quality (for example, the Shield Pro that I have can do Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos).
I find Amazon to be the one place I can find *most* movies that I might want to watch. They have a great catalog, although many of them are not free.
Netflix, on the other hand, was all included in your monthly subscription fee, but their catalog of content to stream SUCKS. It's sort of ironic that they started out as a DVD-by-mail service, but don't have the vast majority of the movies on those DVDs available for streaming. I found they were mostly useful to watch old seasons of TV shows. Then when they did the Cuties child porn movie, and refused to back down on their position about that, I told them to pound sand. Also wasn't happy about them giving Obama his own series.

Trump has made his hatred of Amazon known time and time again. Would he have accepted such an offer from Amazon?

It's not clear to me yet that this is anything but a PR stunt from Amazon.

Doesn't matter. This is about what Amazon offered and when.

@BassWrangler
I know nothing about that. I like series, and rarely bother to watch movies. Stuff like Shameless,Homeland, The Walking Dead,MI-5,etc,etc,etc.

I know nothing about a child porn movie, but SERIOUSLY doubt it is actual child porn. It it were, they could be charged with federal crimes. Granted,it is possible these days to dance up so close to the line it's hard to tell where the line begins and the line ends, but the wait I see it,the the various po-po's in local, state, and feral office ain't using it for a "honey trap" to arrest these perverts after getting lists of subscribers paying the fee to watch it,there is more to blame than Netflix.
And I can't personally afford to watch it myself to form an opinion because I sometimes have a bit of a temper, and anyone harming children or pets in any way can have bad things happen to them that would put me in prison. I can guarantee you that anyone that purposely harms any of my cats is not long for this world, and will be grateful to leave it ASAP.

@Hoodat
Amazon says it did offer help to the Trump Administration.
The only thing missing from their claim is any evidence indicating that they actually did offer that help. Still looking for the 'Amazon Offers Trump Help with Coronavirus Vaccine Distribution' story.
Amazon VP Dave Clark sent this letter (https://assets.aboutamazon.com/fd/38/180064794afc9ff02c157ac68e0d/acip-letter-12.16.2020.pdf) out on Dec 16 requesting the CDC provide vaccines for their workers. But there was no mention of Amazon offering any help. In other words, Amazon is lying.

Sumting fishy bout dat!
When was the last time any businessman turned down free help? It's so contrary to the nature of a businessman that I don't think they could do it even if they wanted.

I am the opposite. I enjoy some series, including some of the ones you listed, but I am conservative about starting new ones because they are a potential time suck. On the other hand, sometimes I want to watch something, and a movie is a nice 1.5 - 2 hour event and then I am done.

It was probably not legally child porn. But it was 11 and 12 year olds "twerking" in front of a camera and discussing sexual themes. I didn't watch it, but after reading some detailed descriptions, I just couldn't justify continuing my subscription. And in truth, I haven't really missed it.

You know damn well that Trump can be petty with his grievances. That's part of his charm.
Maybe he was waiting for Bezos to assume the position. 888buttkisser

And you know that if Amazon really had offered the same deal to Trump, there would be a public record of it.

Good point. If they had proof, they certainly would be waving it around to embarrass Trump.
-

Certainly Trump's ego has gotten in his way from time to time, but I never saw any evidence that he was anything but dead serious about dealing with the pandemic. If Amazon would've offered he would've accepted.

He would have accepted IF Amazon's offer would be helpful. I haven't seen anything to support that conclusion.

Yesterday, Biden openly admitted that he has no coronavirus plan.
There is nothingwe can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic over the next several months.

It wouldn't do any good. Don't forget, these people are so stupid they look to Biden for solutions. They shouldn't even be let out of their houses without leashes, never mind be allowed to vote.
