George Zimmerman's lawsuit against NBC Universal, which alleges the media company defamed him by deceptively editing his call to police the night he shot Trayvon Martin, returns to court this morning in Sanford.

NBC has asked Circuit Judge Debra Nelson to dismiss the lawsuit. The hearing is set for 9:30 a.m.

Zimmerman filed suit in December 2012, accusing NBC News of "yellow journalism" in its editing of his Feb. 26, 2012, call to Sanford police, in which Zimmerman reported the Miami Gardens teen as suspicious.
