Senate Democrats reject Lieberman for FBI director
There's no love lost for the former Democratic senator among his onetime colleagues.

President Donald Trump may be dramatically miscalculating how much support Sen. Joe Lieberman has among his former Democratic colleagues to become FBI director.
Some Senate Democrats hold a grudge against Lieberman for his rightward turn and opposition to some of President Barack Obama's agenda late in his Senate career. Others say even though they respect Lieberman, the FBI director should not be a former politician. And all Democratic senators interviewed for this story said the former Connecticut senator lacks the kind of experience needed for the post.

Just noticed your avatar. My brother at 32 years of age was killed by a 77 year old bi*** who wasn't paying attention. He was training as a triathlete. He also had a very bright future ahead of him; he was a metallurgical engineer and was working on the Star Wars project. So sad ... it's been many years, but I still miss him! Be careful out there; there are a lot of drivers out there who can't see over the steering wheel, let alone able to pay attention to where the hell they are going!

I ride over 12 thousand miles a year. I tell my wife and family that when I die it will probably be from a distracted driver.

I'm sorry, @libertybele How awful for you and your family. :(
Drivers are indeed a worry if one loves cycling. The drivers around my neck of the woods are mostly from another country that I would think would respect cyclists, but they don't even respect pedestrians. As long as one stays out of the street, one is safer here than in other areas though. LOL
