Crime And Punishment / Re: Battle Portland:
« Last post by collins on Today at 11:05:23 pm »
I moved from the area (Vancouver, WA, just across the river) just a few months ago but I probably went into Portland only a few times during the day for the last ten years. You could just see the city decline, the freeways were lined with tents and there was trash everywhere. It's been a no-go zone and it'll never get any better.

A leftist citadel, that tard Wheeler was re-elected because his opponent was even more of a whack job somehow. And I don't know from direct experience, but I've heard SF, LA, and Seattle are even worse.

I will agree with her on one point.

If by the stoke of luck Mr. Trump wins and re-assumes the presidency, and if the Pubbies win both the Senate and retain the House, then to save the country, the filibuster must go.

It's that simple.
(I realize the implications, but there's really no other option possible)

So what happens if and when the Democrats again take control of Congress? Nope. The filibuster stays

catfish complains:
"Let''s not forget that Tumpy single handedly has almost ruined two of our best conservatives out there (RDS/Cruz) with him and his Stone-Pecker slime machine"

That's nuthin' but poppycock.

I'm as pro-Trump as anyone else in this forum, and I haven't problems with Mr. Cruz or Mr. DeSantis.

In fact, I'd consider Mr. DeSantis to be the most important governor in the country today, and probably the front-runner for the presidency in 2028.

"It is not the duty of science to defend the theory of evolution, and stick by it to the bitter end—no matter which illogical and unsupported conclusions it offers. On the contrary, it is expected that scientists recognize the patently obvious impossibility of Darwin's pronouncements and predictions . . Let's cut the umbilical cord that tied us down to Darwin for such a long time. It is choking us and holding us back."—I.L. Cohen, Darwin Was Wrong: A Study in Probabilities (1985)

Elections 2024 / Re: REPORT: Trump’s VP List Is Down To 4 Options

The odds of your Heartland Republic fantasy ever happening is even less.

We have hit a crossroads where we just may see blue states v red states.  Just my opinion.
