Republican Congresswoman Sponsors Resolution To Enforce Sharia Law On U.S. Citizens

On April 6, 2017, Rep. Barbara Comstock (R-VA), introduced House Resolution 257 (HR 257), which offers protection against “racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence,” for Muslims, yet excludes Christians from such safeguards.
A few notable excerpts from the biased Resolution follow:

This lady is a Republican?
Sure. Why not? It doesn't mean anything any more, and this is proof.
-
I see a number of Republicans on the list as backing that bill too.
Reading down the article, it appears a similar piece of legislation is in the Senate being sponsored by Marco Rubio.

Including Dave Brat.

The problem with clickbait sites is they often make up fake headlines and facts to get hits.
Here is the text of the bill:
https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house-resolution/257/text?q=%7B"search"%3A%5B"HRes+257"%5D%7D&r=1
It does not enforce Sharia law on anyone. Nor is it a bill specifically protecting Muslims. Although they are listed, a vast majority of the text cites examples and protections for Jewish communities.

"Condemning hate crime and any other form of racism, religious or ethnic bias, discrimination, incitement to violence, or animus targeting a minority in the United States."
I'm not religious so I claim minority status.

She just barely won over her Democrat opponent last year. She's probably just trying to appease the lefties so she will win handily next time (that would be my guess).

Why doesn't she just change parties? That will make the Dems in her district happy.
