The Myth of the J6 Coup
By Blaine L. Pardoe

We all hear the talking points of the left regarding President Trump. He’s going to end democracy… there will never be a free election again, he will arrest the media, there will be retribution against his enemies; the list of his alleged evil deeds is almost endless.

Do these actually hold water?

Seizing control of the US government is no simple task. In writing Blue Dawn, I had to go over a number of coup scenarios for the book.  The biggest challenge is that to seize control, you must have complacency or support of the military and the means to still have a functioning government; all the while avoiding the consequences of the law.

Those that claim that January 6th was an insurrection fail to explain how, in any scenario, Donald Trump would have been able to seize and hold power. Even if this fantasy is played out, and the trespassers rounded up Congress had had him certified as the winner of the election, they would have simply reversed that vote the moment they were free. Impeachment would have been a slam dunk if that had been the plan. In reality, it was protest that got out of hand resulting in the tragic death of a single person, a protester.

Let’s play the fiction of January 6th with a scenario where the full Congress and Senate were rendered unable to fulfill their duties after the intrusion in the Capitol, i.e, they were killed. If that had happened, processes exist to replace those roles in every state. Eventually the vote would have been reversed. On the short term, it would provide a false sense of legitimacy to an overthrowing of the government.

Two people. Rosanne Boyland was beaten to death by a Capitol Hill cop.

The reality is that people in the most (legally) armed part of the political spectrum failed to bring weapons to an alleged coup. Seems like one Hell of an oversight to me, if your intent is taking over a country.

I'm sorry, I have no love for Trump but where in the article did it show or purport collusion between Putitoot and the Trump campaign?

It's the inference a lot of people will draw, and it isn't unreasonable.  I mean, how else would he plan on delivering on that promise?

They did it with the October surprise theory, and this is a stronger argument.

Catholic group sues Biden administration for denying permit for Memorial Day mass: 'Way out of line'
The Knights of Columbus' Memorial Day mass has a longstanding tradition dating back 60 years

‘Special Report’ anchor Bret Baier reports on the wall of honor displaying 645,000 poppy flowers for each military member who died in service.

A Catholic service organization has sued the Biden administration for religious discrimination after it was stopped from holding its longstanding Memorial Day mass at a national cemetery.

Attorneys for the Knights of Columbus filed a motion for a temporary restraining order against the National Park Service (NPS) in Petersburg, Virginia, on Tuesday, after officials refused to grant a permit for the religious service at the Poplar Grove National Cemetery.

"The policy and the decision blocking the Knights of Columbus from continuing their long-standing religious tradition is a blatant violation of the First Amendment and the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA)," McGuireWoods partner John Moran, who is suing the NPS on behalf of the Knights, said in a press release. "We urge the court to grant our restraining order and allow the Knights to hold their service this Memorial Day."

What unratified, unimplemented treaty did Obama try to enforce domestically?

The closest thing I can remember are the Kyoto Protocols signed by Clinton in 1997, and the Paris Agreement signed by Obama in 2015.  Neither of which had force of law regarding domestic policy.
Gosh I think we are on different tracks, my point is when has the Constitution or laws stopped the Obama(we know Joe's not making decisions) Biden administration from doing what they want, like the uncontrolled invasion at the border, like student loan forgiveness.

Agree

I’ve been hearing how they’re gonna get rid of Biden for the last three years and replace him with Michelle Obama and yet he still here and out there campaigning.

It will be Trump and Biden this November

The speculation was more reasonable before both of them had sewn up an automatic first round win at their respective Conventions.
