Whites Fleeing Los Angeles Headed to Tennessee
08/17/2020 ~ Ann Corcoran
That is what the UK Daily Mail is reporting, but I would love to see some stats about where all of those leaving their soiled nests are now resettling (and likely bringing those liberal policies that created the LA hellhole with them).
UK Daily Mail:
Hollywood’s Apocalypse NOW: Rich and famous are fleeing in droves as liberal politics and coronavirus turn City of Dreams into cesspit plagued by junkies and violent criminals
Today, Los Angeles is a city on the brink. ‘For Sale’ signs are seemingly dotted on every suburban street as the middle classes, particularly those with families, flee for the safer suburbs, with many choosing to leave LA altogether.

Son of a Bitch! Close to thirty years ago I was losing Hispanic employees who were taking their families and moving to Tennessee, but they were fleeing because they wanted their children growing up learning English and assimilating into American culture and escape from the illegals bring in the crime they escaped. I wonder if they knew they were the leaders of the pack?

Californication... In process.
The damn thing's gone to seed AGAIN.

Just look to Nashville. A freaking cesspool of liberal trash on the dole and electing Rats to feed them for doing nothing but breathing.

You know I having been hearing that same carp for decades and have yet to explain how California is responsible for all the............malarkey I am constantly reading about in so many other states, things that make even the socialists and alphabet soupers in California look middle of the road.
I haven't read anything about uncontrolled rioting and looting and arson going on in California like it is in other states. What I just don't get is if so many liberals have left California for other states , so many that they have tipped the political scale in other states, why the heck haven't the conservatives regained control in California? Sounds like some of that voodoo magic the democrats are always blaming conservatives for.
-
I left California 2 years ago after living their for 48 years. I am not contaminating the state I moved to. I also know numerous other people that are looking for exits out of California. We didn't vote for what California has become. It was our home and it was taken from us. California has had enough of my blood and sweat. I refuse to continue to feed it.

They come in waves, and they bring it with em. Typically though, I would say it is more a city vs rural thing... Montana, and our area particularly got inundated with city and suburban Californians who think they know better than rural folks. And now my town has covenants and gated communities, and we are fighting liberals in the schools and city government... to a degree the county too.
However, I have punched cows with fellers from the Sierras, one of whom is a good friend of mine who later moved here - Redneck as the day is long, and he fits here just like I would fit in rural Texas in short order...
It is our misfortune that most of our imports have been from the left coast, and most of them from CA. Funny though, as I came in a wave from the east - A lot of Iowans, Illini, and Hoosiers came here when we did. Maybe it is because we had to learn Western culture and knew that, but the impact on the local culture was a whole lot less than say, the first hippie movement here, shipped up mostly from CA.
And it is true all over the NW... If I mention 'Californication' to a Wyoming cowboy, he'll nod his head in agreement... It is the left coast coming eastward.

We have the advantages of subtle natural beauty and hideous winters working in our favor, to some degree. Winter generally keeps the riff-raff out.

Head North just a little and come to Kentucky.

Not all of So-Cal is "Lost Angeles" which is the 2nd largest incorporated city in the country.
Most of what is called "LA" are suburbs, many rating among the Lowest in crime in the country. Simi Valley. Santa Clarita. Irvine. Huntington Beach. Santa Monica. Pasadena. Newport Beach.
Very little or no inner city blight, of the type associated with urban shitholes.

I'd say find someplace remote in TN and don't worry about it.

Yeah, I been kinda hoping for a screaming bad winter to clean the place out again... That's how the hippies left... A month and a half below zero, and half of that below -20... The next spring they were disappeared.
'Kinda hoping'... I don't really WANT it... That's like wanting to be drug through a knothole backwards... But I will be here when spring comes, and a whole lot of them will go on home.

Southern IA/East Central IL, and NE MO are pretty much a backwater. Not alot going on economically.
And we tend to retain our rural culture.
Which works to keep the liberals away.

We, Texans will always welcome our discouraged Tennessean Brethren here in Texas, yall had alot to do with our Independence and it's not forgotten by some of us.

If we have one this year, and the patch hasn't picked back up, there's going to be a lot of housing on the market and the rental rates here should crash. Although the truck and trailer I saw the other day were suitable for hauling a house (site built, not modular)...

Well I have a buddy up in Calgary that told me a couple days ago that the honkers are regimented and moving south already...
Ain't into reading tea leaves or nothing, but...

Some of the trees bore heavy, some not at all...that was strange. My garden is limited, but the peppers (Cayenne and Habanero) and tomatoes (3 varieties) have come on stronger than usual. I'll wait to dig spuds...

Our harvest was epic... But that is mainly due to a relatively cool august. All I got left in the ground now is some late corn, some late maters, spuds and sweet potatoes. My peppers didn't work this year, but the brasicas went crazy. The gourds and squash are coming on right now, mostly.
I have so much cabbage I don't know what to do. I bet I could do 20 gallons of kraut this year. Which is way too much. Trying to see if I can put it up in coleslaw, which I would prefer.

My area of SE Texas is awash in MAGA and pro-Trump gear. I have been watching elections since 1968, and I have never seen the level of enthusiam. The few liberals that are here, are really keeping quiet.

Numerous pickups with American and Trump flags flying o poles mounted just behind the cabs or just in front of the tailgates, and I can't begin to count the number of "Trump 2020 No More Bullshit" flags I have seen in front of houses in town. It's pretty safe to say the oil patch isn't supporting Biden.

IIRC, in 2016 Santa Clara County, where I live, voted 70%-75% HilLIARy and ~25% Trump (with Stein and that Hate-Trumper getting the remainder). I saw quite a few HilLIARy stickers at the time. Other than the Covid traffic reduction, I have the same commute, and I still don't think I've seen a Biden Sticker. I won't say that California is in play, but while Trump got a fraction under 32% of the vote in 2016, I would not be surprised if he gets between 40% and 45%.
When it comes to bumperstickers and signage, I'm not seeing much enthusiasm for Biden. I don't think the nomination of Kammy will improve that (from a Biden-Harris POV).

Amen.
The UT there color themselves a bright color of orange, but we can overlook that part.
Davy had it right when he said.

Trump may not win, but it brings in the question of coattails.
Alot of those CA races were won by less than 5%, many less than 2%. You're talking 1 to 2 point swings to flip the seat, and the House.
