A woman in Idaho who thought she had gained weight related to menopause discovered she actually had a life-threatening tumor inside of her.
"My stomach was like a rock," Brenda Cridland told local television station KTVB. "I noticed I was gaining weight, and I was not feeling good, but I didn't think anything about it."
After Cridland eventually went to her doctor, a CAT scan showed she had a 50-pound benign tumor that had been growing inside her for years and had displaced some of her organs.

The mass had pushed her stomach up into her chest and her intestines to the side of her body, Cridland told KTVB.
"It was cutting off my blood supply to my brain. ... (The doctor) said probably another two weeks, it would've been life or death," she said.
Yikes.
