Wouldn't do to have people reminded of just what a truly small person she is.

Wouldn't a bigger podium make her look even smaller? Regardless I don't really see an issue. Its hardly a surprise that shes shorter.

I have no problem with this. The last thing you want is the MSM to turn the discussion to how Trump dominated a tiny woman with his big scary man height and the unfair advantage he had.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I've read several stories on this and I think they have it backwards. They would make a smaller podium with a step up for her so she would appear larger. A 'super-sized' podium would make her appear that much smaller. Giving her a smaller podium would make her appear larger in relation on camera.
Giving her the larger podium would be like this:

Another article showing (virtually?) the same pictures said it wasn't known which podium was for which candidate. I suspect the smaller one is for her, so that they each look like they are about the same height relative to the podium. I also don't buy the idea of her standing on something for 90 minutes -- that's just asking for trouble.

I'd be surprised if she can stand for 90 minutes let alone stand on a platform that she's likely to take a misstep and fall.
