The US and Canadian governments have reportedly reached an agreement to stop migrants from entering through unofficial border crossings between the two countries, local media reported.

The deal is expected to be announced on Friday during US President Joe Biden's visit to Ottawa, alongside Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, according to Canadian daily The Globe and Mail.

According to local media, the deal is an update to the 2002 Safe Third Country Agreement, which allowed arrivals to apply for asylum in the first safe country they reach, be it the US or Canada.

Is this "unprincipled and dangerous" something new?  It doesn't matter.  If the administration upholds this agreement like they do current law, it's just another Biden nothingburger anyway. :im waiting:

U.S. authorities transferring migrants entering through Canada to El Paso Sector

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Officials with U.S. Customs and Border Protection said groups of recently apprehended migrants in the Canadian-U.S. Border have been transferred to the El Paso Sector.

Migrants are being flown to different sectors in Texas to help address a rise in illegal border crossings through Canada, as first reported by Reuters.

According to CBP, there were 34 Mexican nationals on the flights from the Swanton Sector to El Paso.

"These transfers are done to decompress facilities and better utilize resources and personnel," said CBP spokeswoman Yolanda Choates.

El Paso County Judge Ricardo Samaniego said the Mexican nationals are then deported back to their country.

This is a good move.  From all I have read and seen, the agents at El Paso don't have near enough to do to earn their pay.  So, all the time that was spent just sitting around can be spent following up on these illegals.

"According to CBP, there were 34 Mexican nationals on the flights from the Swanton Sector to El Paso"

Swanton is at the northwest tip of Vermont. Beautiful country.
But...
New York and New England are "leftist-leaning" enough.
No migrants needed there (besides, it would start chipping into the "whiteness" of those NE states which the liberal locals like just as it is, thank you very much).

Send 'em to Texas -- and change the long-term political leanings of that state...

I declare pure and utter b.s.  This just isn't going to happen; otherwise this would have been done years ago!  Brandon just keeps the gates open.
