There are a few Jurors who will find him guilty no matter what, so the best Trump can get out of this is a hung jury.

Social Security trust fund to be exhausted by 2035 and Medicare in 2036, trustees project

The Medicare trust fund will be exhausted in 2036, and the combined Social Security trust fund will become exhausted in 2035, the programs’ trustees projected on Monday.

The report illustrates the long-term problems facing the entitlement programs, on which tens of millions of people rely. Nevertheless, it contained good news in that the deadlines have been moved back a bit from last year’s projections.

The extended timeline gives a bit more breathing room to Congress, where the looming depletion of the trust fund has become a top political issue. Both President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump have vowed not to cut the popular entitlement benefits for seniors.

Still, the fact that the dates are still just over a decade away is another reminder of the fiscal cliffs that are looming large and the need for lawmakers to craft a plan to keep the programs solvent.

A feisty but elderly man had owned a large farm for several years and part of his holdings was a large pond on the far end of his property.

The small lake with freshwater rivers flowing in and out was ideal for taking a dip on any hot sunny day.
So in his free time, he fixed the watering hole up with nice with picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some surrounding apple and peach trees.

One warm evening, the old farmer decided to go down to the pond since he hadn’t been there for a while. Grabbing a big white bucket to bring back some fruit he started out on the long walk to the remote area.
As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing and there was much splashing and merriment. As he came closer, he saw the merriment was due to several young women who having chanced upon the small lake were taking the opportunity to do a little skinny-dipping in his pond.

As he drew closer, the young women were understandably alarmed. Now embarrassed and aware of his presence the youngsters scattered. Screeching, the nubile and naked women were aware of his presence.

As a group, they swam to the deep end. Then, one of the women shouted to him, ‘We’re not coming out until you leave!’

The old man frowned.

“I didn’t come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or make you get out of the pond naked.”
..............

Holding the bucket up, he cried out, “I’m here to feed the crocodiles!”

EXCLUSIVE — The House Judiciary Committee is aiming to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for refusing to provide audio recordings of President Joe Biden’s interview with the special counsel who investigated his handling of classified documents.

The Republican-led committee is planning to hold a meeting to review a contempt report and hold a committee vote on the matter on May 16, according to two sources familiar with the plans.

The committee’s decision to move forward with contempt marks a dramatic escalation in its monthslong fight to obtain recordings of Biden’s interview, which former special counsel Robert Hur conducted last October.

Poll: Biden Suffers 28% Decline Among Black Voters

President Joe Biden is suffering a 28 percent decline in support among black voters, an I&I/TIPP Poll survey released Monday found.

The survey, which found both Biden and Trump virtually tied head-to-head as well as in a matchup with third party candidates, found that Trump has made significant gains in what the survey described as “traditional Democratic constituencies.”

For example, 87 black voters went for Biden in the 2020 election, and Trump only earned 12 percent support. While current figures show Trump with only a three-point gain — with 15 percent support among black Americans — Biden’s support among black voters has cratered to 59 percent. That reflects a 28 percent loss since the 2020 election.

“All told, it’s a 31-point swing,” the survey found, pointing out that Biden’s support among Hispanic voters has dropped as well:

Among Hispanics, Biden slammed Trump in 2020, 65% to 32%. In this month’s I&I/TIPP Poll, Hispanics give just 47% support to Biden, 26% to Trump, and 13% to Kennedy.

Further, Trump has made massive strides among independent voters as well, leading Biden by five points in this group in a head-to-head matchup. That figure swells to an eight percent lead in a matchup including third party candidates, including Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West, and Jill Stein.

The survey was taken May 1-3, among 1,264 respondents. It has a +/-2.8 percent margin of error.

A recent Wall Street Journal survey told a similar story, showing Trump enjoying a significant increase in support among black Americans.

The Virginia Project
@ProjectVirginia
just a general piece of advice that a lot of people seem to need these days
To
stop advocating for people who want to kill you

it doesn't make you virtuous... it makes you suicidal

Well, rational people are advocating for peace and security.  This may not make the virtuous, either ---- but they do understand doing the same thing over and over and over again expecting a different outcome is insanity;  and this makes them pretty damn smart.

Loony former federal Judge Michael Luttig recently turned himself into a laughable clown show when the U.S. Supreme Court UNANIMOUSLY shot down his ABSURD scheme to keep President Donald Trump off the 2024 ballots. When that extreme HUMILIATION slapped him in the face, Luttig went into a state of highly entertaining grief-stricken mourning which was covered here in the DUmmie FUnnies. However, after a brief period of hiding in shame, Luttig is baaaaaack with yet more lunacy. He now seems to think that DEMOCRACY IS AT STAKE. No, not because of all the illegal LAWFARE being thrown at Trump with absurd charges as in the Manhattan case. Luttig is panicked that Supreme Court will rule in Trump's favor (or at least partly so) on his immunity appeal. And if that happens that outcome would threaten America's heart and SOOOUUUUULLLLL. He repeats that "heart and SOOOUUUULLL" shtick several times and seems to think that if he stretches out "SOOOUUUUUULLLL" long enough, it might impart some deep meaning to it that would make the rest of us sit up and notice of how dangerous Trump is to America. Oh, and he hopes no one notices WHO is actually conducting the illegal LAWFARE. Maybe he thinks if he stretches out "SOOOUUUULLL" long enough that would wipe the illegal DOJ LAWFARE off our memory banks.
