China Is Building Warships Faster Than America Can Understand
Beijing is building warships at a faster rate than Washington can. The question is whether America can match China or if the U.S. navy will become overshadowed.

Key point: The breakneck pace of Chinese naval construction makes the People’s Liberation Army Navy a force to watch. The PLAN is not only in the process of modernizing but also expanding, with shipbuilding schedules not seen since the height of the Cold War. From carriers to corvettes, the Chinese Navy is expanding faster than any other navy on the planet. As a result, it’s often useful to check in and see the current state of the navy, and wonder what it’s all meant for.
China’s aircraft carrier program marches on, with two carriers completed and a third ship under construction. In 2017 the first carrier Liaoning, as the Pentagon’s recently released 2018 China Military Power Report (PDF) noted, made two high profile voyages to Hainan Island and Hong Kong. That having been said, despite being in operation for more than three years it has yet to travel to a foreign country.

But are they PC combat ready? Do their ships discriminate against women by having urinals? Have their troops studied CRT to find out about white rage? Do they have counselors aboard to take care of of crew members who are "triggered" by the thought their toothpaste is inferior to that of Americans? :whistle:

I think we proved in WWII we could build pretty quick if the need arose.

These are the CHINESE building these Chinese war ships,people. Most probably won't float long,almost nothing in them will work,and the replacement parts won't fit.
The ones that will float probably won't run,or won't steer properly if they do run.
And if the Russians stop selling them spare parts,they are really screwed.
Even after saying all the above,I hope that EVERYONE keeps in mind that China is a VERY real threat to the US because they have a virtually inexhaustable supply of soldiers and sailors,and don't give an actual squat about how many of them will die if/when they attack us. They literally bred replacements faster than we can kill them if we don't go nuclear.

We KNOW "what it's all meant for".
To make China the pre-eminent world power as the United States falls into oblivion (and Chinese domination) under demo-communism.

The days of America being able to turn out ships like cars is over, and it's not coming back.
Do you remember the days when EMD was the primary locomotive builder? I do. I ran 'em.

AND we had an existing industrial base with experienced employees to run things.

Just wait till the world goes to war once more and threatens their global economy. They’ll be waiving the flag & browbeating folks in flyover country to offer up their sons to make the world safe for their rice bowls once again.

Ships are sitting targets that would be wiped out in short order if things went really hot.

Yeah,but you don't get "The Dance",and the rope can be used over and over for many years before needing replacement.
