Georgia lost 90% of their peach crop last year due to warming issues. Earlier than normal warming so trees budded out then normal freeze happened and killed all the buds. Other issues but I believe this was the major cause.

Texas is becoming a parched state. Texas ranchers are buying semi truck full loads of hay from  my area.

As you said the  northern US states will become the new breadbasket.

Newsflash:  TX lost peaches in other years.  FL has also lost oranges and guess what they have lost oranges in other years -- either from frost, heat, drought or blight.

What are you going to do when TX gets rain all summer and their peach crop comes back???

Been watching these things since Nixon v. Humphrey, (Agnew v. Muskie)  and I don't remember any of the VPOTUS having any level of bearing in any of the races.

A few soundbites, and gotchas but nothing more of substance

The closest I can remember to being meaningful was the Benson - Quayle debate.  Of course, Dukakis/Benson lost anyway, so it clearly didn't matter enough.

How much agricultural land is going to be put out of production (and yes I have seen that). Is that the reason TPTB want us eating bugs--so the cattle don't rub against the solar arrays?

The US loses 2000 acres to housing developments, factories, roads every single day.   I posted last week if we went 100% solar the amount of land would be a drop in the ocean and gave the links. Not all solar is farm land. it's over parking lots, the desert, rooftops, garbage land and other areas.

As I recall, in the 70's, the hysteria and promoted climate predictions were for an ice age. We are all gonna freeze to death.  8888crybaby I'm sure there was plenty of money made then as there has been today.

That was a little over 50 years ago. Not that long for a complete turn around...is it?

The RW misinformation industries has spread this false info for decades. It was debunked decades ago but still makes it rounds among conservative sites.

It was THE MEDIA that was predicting global cooling because the bad winters we were having back then and they were spreading sensationalized news. 44 of the top 49 scientific papers of the 1970's all said we was heading towards global warming

Sometimes the only sensible action is to cut your losses and get the heck outta town...

I think this needs to be resolved with a cage match on Capitol grounds.
Only if PPV and ticket sales proceeds go to reducing the National Debt.
