KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - Police have responded to reports of shots fired near the stage at Union Station just moments after the Chiefs Super Bowl parade ended.
Kansas City police reported shots were fired near the garage at Union Station and several people were struck. A fire official reported 8 to 10 people were injured, according to the Associated Press.
Two armed people have been taken into custody, according to Kansas City police.
Several people sheltered in place inside Union Station. Kansas City police later said they have all been released. Police are asking for witnesses to go to the southwest corner of Pershing and Main to help with their investigation.

The deadly shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory parade that killed one and injured nearly two dozen was the result of a personal dispute that exploded into violence — and cops have detained three people who may be at fault, authorities said Thursday.
Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves emphasized that the Wednesday afternoon attack on the west side of the city’s landmark Union Station had nothing to do with homegrown terrorism or violent extremism.
Instead, the shooting “appeared to be a dispute between several people that ended in gunfire,” Graves told reporters at a Thursday press conference.
Two of the three suspects are juveniles, she said. The department has 24 hours to either charge them or release them, Graves said.
“We have subjects that are detained,” Graves said. “We are working to determine the involvement of others, and it should be noted we have recovered several firearms … This incident is still a very active investigation.”
Their bullets wounded 22 people — including nine kids — and killed 43-year-old mother of two Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a dedicated Chiefs fan who reportedly died from a shot to the abdomen.
“She was the most wonderful, beautiful person,” Lisa Lopez, a longtime friend (of no relation) who works as its newsroom executive administrative assistant, told the Kansas City Star.
Graves said police sympathize with Lopez-Galvan’s family and friends, and are “working tirelessly to investigate her murder.”
Ross Grundyson, chief of the city fire department, said eight of the wounded were in critical condition when first responders reached them.

No charges have yet been filed regarding the mass shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, on Wednesday — though police have detained multiple suspects.
Kansas City Police Chief Stacey Graves held a press conference on Thursday to update the press on the ongoing investigation, announcing that prosecutors were still working on bringing charges.
"We have not charged them yet. This is still under investigation. We do have 24 hours until we have to either file charges or release them," said Graves.
She continued, "And again, we are working closely with the Jackson County prosecutor's office to present the most successful case for prosecution to their actions with linking them to the actual shooting."
Gunshots rang out during the Chiefs' victory parade at about 2 p.m. local time near the Union Station parking garage in Kansas City, killing one woman and injuring 22 others. The woman has been identified as Lisa Lopez-Galvan, a mother of two and local radio DJ.
Eleven children were also wounded during the shooting, but were expected to recover as of Wednesday night. Nine of them were shot, while two sustained other injuries.
During a press conference Thursday afternoon, doctors with University Health said, of the eight gunshot victims they received, five of those were dismissed from the emergency department on Wednesday night, while three were still in the hospital. One patient was in stable condition. Two others were in critical condition in the ICU, but were said to be improving.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two juveniles have been charged with crimes connected to the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl rally, authorities said Friday.
A news release from the Jackson County Family Court said the juveniles are being detained in the county's Juvenile Detention Center "on gun-related and resisting arrest charges." The release said it is "anticipated that additional charges are expected in the future as the investigation by the Kansas City Police Department continues."
No further information was released.
A mother of two was killed and 22 people were injured by gunfire Wednesday afternoon, when shots erupted amid the throng of fans gathered at a rally outside Union Station after a parade through the city. Of course there were rough periods when people were forced to live on the streets but those people by and large had no desire to remain on the streets unlike today.

Teneal Burnside created the online fundraiser for her son Lyndell Mays, 23, showing him lying in a hospital bed recovering from nine bullet wounds from the shootout he allegedly confessed to starting.
“He is in the ICU fighting for a recovery from several surgeries from going to the Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration with his older sister,” the now-deleted fundraiser said.
“Getting shot multiple times at a time that was [meant] to bring so much joy to so many has [brought] pain and sadness to all that was attending,” it said.
The fundraiser had reportedly raised $100 for Mays’ medical bills before he was charged Tuesday with second-degree murder, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. ...
