Kari Lake Hints She Might Choose to Run for Senate in 2024
By Jennifer Oliver O'Connell
August 08, 2023
Former Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake has remained in the fight, pursuing legal challenges of election discrepancies in Maricopa County. However, she is not reliant on her long-shot bid to reverse the governor’s election but has her sights on national office in the United States Senate, according to a new report:
Former Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake is maintaining a strong lead in the state’s Republican primary for Senate in 2024 as several paths lie before her to break into national politics.
A poll from Emerson College released Tuesday shows Lake with a 31-percentage-point lead over her nearest competitor. The firebrand conservative received 42% of the vote, compared to Republican candidate and Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb‘s 11%.

Not happening
I have no doubt she’ll win her primary. But she is not gonna be the next senator from Arizona.

Lake has a some great support and some terrible headwinds to expand that to what she needs to win.
She has to separate from Trump. He's gone too stupid.
The real motivator here is the potential opponent.....Ruben Gallego. He's a far left whackjob.
Right now, he is tying the GOP to Trump painting a narrative that says that Trump runs the show and all his followers (i.e. the GOP) are just bots that blindly follow him. He's getting traction.
Sinema hasn't ramped up yet.
Lake, if she jumps in should stay positive, stop talking about the steal (but she should be clear about what a mess our elections have been and how that needs fixed).
I think she carries a chance.

Fair assessment, @Cyber Liberty ?

Kari Lake was a registered Democrat reporter from Phoenix who voted for Obama and Hillary, then decided to be a Republican, Trump takes a liking to her, she runs for Governor, loses, complains it was stolen. Her state GOP is now broke/bankrupt and her state is Blue. And if you're a Conservative that doesn't support her, you're for Biden

Fair assessment, @Cyber Liberty ?
Not particularly. She once was a Dem, everything else is just speculation.
-
Fair assessment, @Cyber Liberty ?
It's historical that she was a democrat.
However, unless she really just lies out her backside, she isn't one anymore.

"Blake Masters plans to enter the Senate race..."
Masters lost once, he'll lose again.
Lake lost once, she'll lose again.

Lake lost once, she'll lose again.
I guess we may as well just turn over AZ to the Dems, right? After all, nobody conservative can win.
I may as well just pack it in....

Lake lost once, she'll lose again.
Lake can win.
I don't believe Masters can.
She looked very strong in her campaign.
He never really got rolling.
If they slash at each other during a primary, I'll be pissed at both of them and the GOP for not doing a better job.

Kari Lake to launch Arizona Senate bid next month
The close ally of Trump is looking to run in the swing state again.

Arizona Republican Kari Lake will launch a Senate run as soon as early next month, according to three people familiar with her plans.
Lake, an ardent supporter of former President Donald Trump who refused to concede her narrow loss in Arizona’s governor race last year, has been hinting at a bid for months. She has been active in national politics since her 2022 loss and this week alone she’s headlining events in Iowa and Michigan.
Her interest has largely frozen the GOP field for the seat, which is currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.). Blake Masters, the state’s 2022 Senate nominee, appears to be lingering on the sidelines after preparing to enter the race in September.
There is no specific date set for Lake’s launch but it will almost certainly come in the month of October, according to a person familiar with her plans who was granted anonymity to speak candidly.

If I lived in Arizona, I would campaign for her every day!

So, Kari is running for US Senate while being the pretend Governor of Arizona?
-
If I lived in Arizona, I would campaign for her every day!
I guess this means she's giving up on the 2022 fraud.

I don't think that's the case at all but by the time that works its way through the courts her term will be over. Which was the plan all along. Even if they lose they win.

But she loves Trump? :pondering:
Hey now, that was a whole seven years ago, she's evolved past the previous 47 to become a conservative kind of like Trump /S Lake still has some evolving to go to get to Trump's level. Still if I was in Arizona and my choices were between her newly found conservatism and a known entity democrat I would take a chance on her, that's way more choice than I get in Californistan.

Nobody loves Trump.
But as you can see....she has his mean streak.

She's going for it.
We better gear up.
