Sunday on NBC’s “Meet The Press,†Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said he disagreed with how former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired by Attorney General Sessions two days before he was eligible for his pension.
Rubio said, “I don’t like the way it happened. He should have been allowed to finish through the weekend.â€
He continued, “That said, look, there’s an inspector general report that’s due and work that’s being done. After he had retired if that report would’ve indicated wrongdoing or something that was actionable, there are things that could’ve been done after the fact. But, you know, 48 hours to go before retirement, I would’ve certainly done it differently given the fact there’s still this report out there that hasn’t come in.â€

At the gym there is one TV set usually tuned to Fox. But yesterday they had on MSNBC, so I saw 45 minutes of their one-sided coverage.
Their "conservative," of "Republican" was Bill Kristol. So Bill and Marco are jupset, like the dems/liberals are upset.
They seem to overlook the FBI's own internal investigation, and recommendation to terminate McCabe.

And what I don't like, little Marco, is McCabe running out of dodge with a $1 million purse ....

This did not need to be the main subject this weekend. Everyone knew a couple of months ago that McCabe was going to be fired. But apparently President Trump just couldn't let it play out. He kept tweeting ominous messages about the pension, and now he's got his craven little wish. Unfortunately it makes him look obsessive and crass.

Rubio has long been a swamp thing. That was clear since the gang of 8 on immigration. The simple truth is nearly everyone in D.C. are deep in the swamp and have no interest in changing that Republican or not.

Nonsense. Monday's topic would have been how McCabe was allowed to waltz unscathed, and he'd STILL be stabbing Trump and Sessions in the back.

I believe it is standard op procedure to get fired (sans benefits?) when caught lying to the FBI (your employer). Right?
The problem is... that the firing was delayed right up to the pension deadline. It should have been done AS SOON AS they knew he lied.

Trump's problem isn't telling lies. It's his tone and method of delivery. And .... the fact that some stuff just shouldn't be addressed...

And, I don't know about Laura's credentials, but criticizing a particular Trump action does not a leftie make. I thought we resolved that long ago.

You can ask @LauraTXNM about it, she'll tell you. I think her honesty is refreshing and makes her a valuable addition to the TBR community. I've grown quite fond of her (Shhh! @corbe has already made a claim! ^-^ ).

I don't think @XenaLee was really calling out @LauraTXNM, I believe LauraTXNM has stated their positions on the matter publicly. I thought the comment was a poke in fun, of course looking back at my track record of being right..............

Yeah.. well.... I'm still pissed off about that "you just got lucky" BS.... re: how hard I worked to educate myself so I could get the jobs that provided good health insurance....lol.

I am so grateful that Rubio came out of the closet on amnesty so early in his career to expose him for simply being another RINO.
He had so much promise, and could have perhaps reached the next tranche of a career if he had kept his inward passion hidden awhile longer.
