Title from the source but doesn't really reflect the content. Anyone who spent any time on Twitter or Facebook saw this in action, now it seems there are starting to be breadcrumbs where this came from. Not 'hacking' but organized and coordinated disinformation campaigns.

I don't know how much credence to give this story, but here's what would be funny about it, if true....
McCain and the right, in general, were mocked in 2008 for being out of touch and lack of tech savvy operatives. Two election cycles later, they bludgeon the opposition with social media. Operation Petard Hoist.
