Kerry: 'We Drove a Very Hard Bargain' With Iran
Tuesday, November 26, 2013 07:01 PM
By: Amy Woods
The hard-fought agreement reached Sunday on Iran's nuclear program marks the first in almost a decade that puts "meaningful limits" on the country's development of a weapon of mass destruction, Secretary of State John Kerry said.
Kerry appeared in a short video explaining he "drove a very hard bargain" with Iranian negotiators to effectively set back their nuclear ambitions, The Hill reports.
"We drove a very hard bargain to achieve what we needed to in terms of our verification and certainty about where they're going," Kerry said. “We drove a hard bargain because we have one unwavering purpose in our goal: President Obama has been absolutely clear that Iran cannot and will not acquire a nuclear weapon
.
"Today, thanks to this effort we took an important first step toward guaranteeing that that never happens," Kerry continued. "And I think we did it in the most effective way – we did it through diplomacy."
In the video, Kerry addressed concerns in Congress about the economic sanctions on Iran, which many leaders want to increase. He said Iran will receive $4.2 billion in repatriated oil revenue and will be allowed exports totaling $2.5 billion. The $6.7 billion in relief is "limited and reversible."
"We all know that if the agreement falls apart, Iran is going to quickly face even tougher sanctions," he said.

How in hell can Vichy John make a statement like this in the face of a mountain of criticism and expert analysis that says exactly the opposite?? Even the Iranians are saying that Obama is lying about the terms, so who do we believe??
-
Which was the hard bit?
Waking up long enough to pay attention or keeping a straight face?

:silly: goopo

It comes quite naturally to him! He served in Vietnam you know! Just long enough to manufacture three purple hearts and get the heck out of Dodge!
And he lied through his teeth about that as well!

That's not a serious question is it? Do not believe anything that comes from this administration. Our allies around the world know this and we here stateside should have learned it by now

We have.
It is a sad state of affairs though, when we find ourselves automatically believing a corrupt and controlling regime. Still, the USA is our ally, so I guess it goes with the territory.

Every day this administration looks more like the rise to power of Adolf Hitler.

A few months ago the history channel had a marathon about hitlers rise to power, everything he did reminded me of this administration

What was the hard part Kerry? Was it trying to understand the Iranians when they spoke because they were to busy laughing their asses off?
Was it the part were you gave them our Boeing people to go to iran to fix their jets?
Was it the part were you gave them billions to keep enriching uranium?
Was it the part were you gave them the OK to sell their oil?
Was it the part were you gave them the OK to keep on doing ICBM deals with NK?
Was it the part were you suspended restrictions on the country's trade in gold, petrochemicals, car and plane parts?
What part of any off those things was hard to do Kerry?????
It wasn't hard at all, for you have been a traitor to this country since day one of your career.
rant off!

Some hard bargain...it's collapsing like a house of cards and will do absolutely nothing to provide cover for this crew when the Obamacare website crashes over the weekend and gives irrefutable proof of Obama's ongoing lies about it.
I can guarantee you that by next Monday morning, nobody will be saying "boo", "Sic 'em", or "kiss my ass" about Iran.....

Every day this administration looks more like the rise to power of Adolf Hitler.
Hitler played to nationalistic pride and demonized specific ethnic groups.
Obama has nowhere near the charisma or intelligence that Hitler had, thankfully.
Barry's a milquetoast intellectual who is seeing his popular support crash, and him playing to demographics and skin color as opposed to a sense of country means he's a footnote in history compared to a Hitler or a Mussolini.

What does the U.S. get out of the deal? Where is that list?

Hitler also understood he had to have the military on his side, something the lifelong communist in the White House refuses to grasp. After all the military high ranking officers fired, he has little chance of getting their loyalty now.

That is the main problem....there is no list of what we got. Yet the destruction of Israel may be what this White House wants?
