David Axelrod pummels Biden's defiant stance on economy following CNN interview: A 'terrible mistake'
'If he doesn't win this race, it may not be Donald Trump that beats him. It may be his own pride,' Axelrod said

Former Obama adviser and CNN political analyst David Axelrod lambasted President Biden's defiant stance on the economy Wednesday, calling it a "terrible mistake" so much so that it could result in his defeat in the upcoming election.

"I don't understand this," the famed Democratic strategist reacted. "I don't understand all these months later, you know, I thought they spent $25 million mistakenly last fall touting Bidenomics and making the same argument that the president is making here."

In an interview with CNN, Biden attempted to boast about his record despite polls that consistently show dissatisfaction with his handling of the economy and that Americans trust his 2024 rival, former President Trump, on the issue more than him.

"We've already turned it around," Biden insisted before citing one poll showing most Americans claiming they are "personally in good shape" economically.

He then lashed out at other survey findings, "The polling data has been wrong all along. You guys do a poll at CNN, how many folks do you have to call to get one response? The idea that we're in a situation where things are so bad… When I started this administration, people were saying there's gonna be a collapse in the economy. We have the strongest economy in the world. Let me say that again, in the world."

That attitude did not sit well with Axelrod.

"It is absolutely true. The world was plunged into an economic crisis and America was plunged into an economic crisis by the pandemic and we've come back faster than almost any other country and he's right about that. But that's not the way people are experiencing the economy," Axelrod told CNN's Erin Burnett.

"They're experiencing it through the lens of the cost of living. And he is a man who's built his career on empathy. Why not lead with the empathy?"

He hired new employees, doubled federal spending, and started a bunch of new programs.

Now the swamp is bigger.

In our new video, Economist Ed Stringham explains the real way to drain the swamp is to cut the spending that swamp creatures feed on.

Daniels denies berating her attorney as jurors hear taped called with Michael Cohen
By Kyle Schnitzer

A juicy phone conversation between Stormy Daniels' attorney Keith Davidson and Michael Cohen was played in front of the jury — where Davidson said that Daniels berated him and wanted money "more than anything," but Daniels denied berating her attorney.

The taped April 4, 2018 phone call between the attorneys featured multiple expletives, with Davidson claiming that Daniels was yelling and screaming at him while calling him a "p---y."

“She wanted this money more than you can ever imagine. I remember hearing her on the phone saying, you f--ing Keith Davidson. You better settle this God damn story,” Davidson said on the recording.

He added that Daniels allegedly said that if Trump lost the election "we lose all f--king leverage this case is worth zero."

Daniels denied berating Davidson, however.

"No I did not actually, I never yelled at Keith Davidson," she testified. "It sounds like a threat from Keith Davidson."

Stormy Daniels much calmer, more relaxed and speaking more slowly today so far
By Ben Kochman

As Trump's lawyer Necheles continues to grill her about the hush money payment on cross-examination, Daniels' demeanor is far more relaxed compared to yesterday.

From her seat on the witness stand, she's speaking far more slowly and clearly than she did when she detailed her alleged tryst with Trump when questioned by prosecutors.

Democrats blow up at Biden for halting weapons shipments to Israel
Sen. Fetterman and Rep. Ritchie Torres have called out Biden for promising to deny weapons shipments to Israel
By Jeffrey Clark Fox News
Published May 9, 2024 9:09am EDT

President Biden is under a barrage of attacks from Republicans and even Democrats over his vow to deny weapons shipments to Israel if it invades Rafah in Gaza.

"I suspect it's pandering to the far left," Rep. Ritchie Tores, D-N.Y., told Axios. "It looks like election year politics was driving it. That's my impression."

With the anti and pro-Israel wings of the Democratic Party already at odds over massive student protests against the Israel-Hamas war, Biden continues to oversee a divided party in advance of the presidential election.

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., an outspoken advocate for Israel's right to defend itself from Hamas, told Axios that he opposed Biden's pause on weapons shipments.

"I strenuously disagree," Fetterman said. "We have to stand with our key ally throughout all of this."

Rep. Lois Frankel, D-Fla., told the outlet that Israel is "surrounded by danger, they need the tools to defend themselves."

Other Democrats, including Rep. Becca Balint and Sen. Tim Kaine, signaled support for Biden's decision.

"I think it's what we've heard from ... all the wings of the caucus, that with Netanyahu continuing [to] threaten an invasion of Rafah, we feel like a message needs to be sent," said Rep. Becca Balint, D-Vt.

Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., also backed Biden's decision.

Try a Little Honesty About Israel › American Greatness
Here are ten of their most common untruths about October 7 and the war that followed.

Scan news accounts of anti-Israel campus and street protestors. Read their demands and manifestos. Collate the confusion after October 7 from the Biden administration.

Here are ten of their most common untruths about October 7 and the war that followed.

“Progressive Hamas”: Gay and transgendered student protestors in America would be in mortal danger in Gaza under a fascistic Hamas that has banned homosexual acts and lifestyles. Anyone protesting publicly against Hamas or its allies would be arrested and severely punished.

Women are segregated in most Hamas-run educational institutions. Under the Hamas charter, women are valued mostly as child-bearers. By design, there are almost no women in high positions in business or in government under Hamas.

Prosecutors struggling to tie Trump to records falsification scheme
By

Alvin Bragg is hoping to convince a jury that former President Donald Trump committed felonies by allegedly falsifying business records, but to do that, the Manhattan district attorney must prove Trump acted with intent.

Over the last three weeks, prosecutors have called upon witnesses to deliver, at times, salacious testimony about Trump, and they have entered dozens of records into evidence. However, they have struggled to tie Trump directly to what Bragg, an elected Democrat, claims was a felonious payment scheme.

Tuesday marked the most dramatic day of witness testimony in the trial thus far after porn star Stormy Daniels took the witness stand and rehashed graphic details about an alleged sexual encounter she had with Trump in 2006.

The testimony was captivating for jurors and the public and provided color to her story, which Trump’s ex-attorney Michael Cohen paid $130,000 in 2016 to hide. However, some critics found it lacked substance.

Jonathan Turley, a professor at George Washington University Law School, called Daniels’s testimony a “dumpster fire.”

None of this makes any sense if the objective is to benefit humans.
@Smokin Joe

What if the true objective were the opposite. Now, does it make sense?
