Leonardo DiCaprio Producing Woodrow Wilson Movie With Eyes On Presidential Role

Leonardo DiCaprio has played historical figures like J. Edgar Hoover and Howard Hughes, but never a president. That could change with "Wilson," an adaptation of A. Scott Berg's new biography on Woodrow Wilson. According to THR, DiCaprio is attached to star in and produce the feature. No word yet on who will write or direct "Wilson," as the film is in its early stages.
Wilson, the 28th president of the United States, served in the White House from 1913 through 1921. Wilson died in 1924 from complications due to a stroke he suffered during his second term in office. He was 67 years old. (DiCaprio, it should be noted, will celebrate his 39th birthday later this year.)
DiCaprio has starred in six films since the start of 2010, including November's "The Wolf of Wall Street," his fifth overall collaboration with director Martin Scorsese. Beyond that, DiCaprio's schedule is wide open, though he was attached to a film about Harald Hardrada, the "last great Viking king," back in August.

Another movie I will skip. I thought DeCaprio was going to stop acting... guess the draw of a camera is too strong.

Wilson was also the only historian to be President which is the only + he gets in my book. No way it can ever outweigh the negatives, not even close.

On top of that, he was at least partially responsible for the Fed, the ability to levy income tax in any way possible (the crux of John Roberts' case for Obamacare), the loss of the states' ability to appoint senators, and the inept disaster that was Prohibition. It's hard to imagine a more destructive President-- yes, worse than FDR. (I know of more destructive eras, but that required a tag-team from LBJ and Earl Warren.)
Of course, the only reason he ever became President was because the GOP incumbent was weak (Taft) and TR decided he was willing to make a third-party comeback. To top it all off, he was incapacitated pretty much his entire last couple of years in office and his wife allegedly pulled the strings in his stead, long before the 24-hour news cycle would make that impossible.

Yep... the msn was so bad we could go on and on about it... and all these years later this country is still paying for his administration... now add on Obama and its no wonder we are struggling.
