RNC to discuss holding more debates
By Jessie Hellmann
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus said Tuesday the committee will discuss the possibility of holding more primary debates ahead of the convention.
“We’re working on that,” Priebus said in an interview with radio host Michael Medved. “We had a lull obviously since the last debate. We were going at about one a week … and it was getting a little exhausting.”
Priebus said the committee would discuss future debate options during its meeting this week in Florida.
The last Republican debate took place March 10. Another debate slated for March 21 was canceled when GOP front-runner Donald Trump and Ohio Gov. John Kasich backed out.
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has been eager to face Trump in a one-on-one debate, but the front-runner seems reluctant, saying last month “we’ve had enough debates in my opinion.”
-
I love the idea. I would enjoy watching Cruz vs Trump....oh, and Kasich....I guess.
-
What is left to debate? Put the debate of pay-4-view.

Trump won't debate. He knows Cruz would kill him in a debate and he's not about to risk anything going forward. Of course, his refusal would show him to be the coward that he is and afraid of a real policy discussion.

Rinse and Repeat is delusional!! :silly:

Desperate people do desperate things.
-
Yeah I want to hear Kasich tell us all again that a SCOTUS ruling means the citizens of Mississippi and North Carolina shouldn't utilize their 10th Amendment rights as granted by the Constitution.
Kasich is such a coward and is solely a puppet of whatever his donors tell him to say.
-
No and hell no, though it'd be fun to see Cruz wipe the floor with Trump.

Why in the world would Trump debate a guy he's clobbering in the polls?
Whiny Ted is losing control of himself and Dunce Preibus is flailing about trying to somehow please the RNC donors and their dud candidates.

Fortunes are shrinking as you read this. (Many of them gained through political corruption.)

And yet Trump just can't seem to grab delegates, mainly due to a lack of ability to organize.

I don't think he got in the race to win, but then got some adulation and just couldn't walk away. I think he just wanted the PR and buzz he got when he ran before. I think at this point he still doesn't necessarily want to win, but he doesn't want to lose and he doesn't want someone else to beat him.

Trump said he wanted to debate one on one, said it would be fun and then he started ducking it like a chicken

Trump-Soros-Hillary never thought their hoax would last this long

It would also be fun to watch ponies fly.

It's kind of hard for an outsider like Trump to "organize" when the GOPe controls the state parties, primaries, and delegates.
How many more delegates did Slippin' Ted of the GOPe bribe today? We all know he can't earn them through popular vote.
-
Dirty Donald is chicken.
19% Ted and Dunce Preibus are in panic mode. You can almost smell the desperation and the stench of losers.

Hey, if you've got some/any evidence of what you're charging, present it. If not, you need to not make wild unsubstantiated accusations in a fit of pique.

Slipin' Ted's already bragging about locking up half of the PA delegates before a vote has been cast, and even when he takes last place. I've never seen a solid candidate destroy his own political future in such a public manner.

Why? The Tweeter in Chief isn't gonna participate anyway. seems like a waste of time.

You said he was bribing delegates. Prove it.

Welcome, Mark.
-
You said he was bribing delegates. Prove it.
Your side says Trump is the same as Hillary. Prove it.
Thinking promises aren't being made and contracts guaranteed to flip to the very unpopular Cruz is naive.
-
Debates aren't going to change anyones mind. People for Trump and people for Cruz are not going to suddenly go to the other side because of a debate.

How about a GOPe debate between Cruz and Kasich, and the loser drops out afterward. Or maybe Kasich debates Sanders and Clinton and is the VP pick for whoever wins the Dem nomination.

Really? That lame?
And, no, Cruz is not unpopular with a whole bunch of people. You're too blinded to understand that.
Again - you made a very ugly unfounded accusation - back it up or retract it.
-

Au contrair, mon ami, The more people (read: undecided voter's) see "Donald unleased" in action, the better. He is a spray-tanned vile pus bucket of a human. The more you know about him, the more there is to hate about him.

80% of GOP voters don't like him. He's unpopular. He'll get crushed by Hillary, which is exactly what the GOPe wants.
I'm not going to play the semantics game, but there is a reason delegates are pledging to the last place PA finisher even before the election is held, and it's not Ted's winning personality.
Ted basically bribes delegates in a state where he's extremely unpopular.
Trump earns them.
Yet Trump is the corrupt one.

You keep slithering away from producing any evidence for your earlier accusation. Not a very honorable thing to do. If you were just running your mouth, admit it and move on. If you can show us where Cruz is doing something unethical and potentially illegal, do it.

That must be why his lead in GOP polling keeps increasing. When will he learn!

I know how unbound delegates are bought and paid for via political donations and favors. Do you deny this happens? Promises are made.

Donald Trump said he won't take advantage of what he called the "crooked" Republican delegate system, after allegations that Ted Cruz's campaign has paid for hotel rooms for delegates and taken them out to dinners, but if he wanted to, he has "better toys" than anyone.
Trump said his campaign lost Wyoming because they didn't want to spend money on "buying delegates."

Ah, now I see what you have structured your accusation on - the unsubstantiated words of the ever-truthful Trump. OK, you go with that. I understand you now.

Trump was responding to a question about Cruz buying dinners and hotel rooms for delegates.
You asked, I answered. Cruz has never denied it.

That's just silly. You've never denied that you quit beating your dog either. You can do better than that.
Develop some skepticism. Make 'em work for your vote. Don't just believe what your chosen one tells you. (Especially when he tends to change his statements regularly.)

It's not illegal to buy dinners and hotel rooms, or even for a campaign to pay expenses for a delegate. Trump has said he won't do it, but it's no shame that Cruz is buying delegates as the establishment rules allow.
-
The more you know about him, the more there is to hate about him.
That can be said about Rafeal from Canada............the more you know about him the more creepy he gets.

The difference being, that poster was never accused of beating his/her dog. You should be able to do better than that.

No, not at all. Unless you're looking for excuses to be creeped out.
-
No, not at all. Unless you're looking for excuses to be creeped out.
That is one thing I know that will not change.....you not wanting Trump ever, and me wanting Trump. I will always see that in Cruz, you won't ever see it.
-
Debates aren't going to change anyones mind. People for Trump and people for Cruz are not going to suddenly go to the other side because of a debate.
Bingo. And why give the traitorous media one more free shot at the non-socialist / non-communist candidates?
-
He is a spray-tanned vile pus bucket of a human. T
WOW! You are impressive!
-
Trump is doing well because people forgot about what a complete bleep he is, not to mention how utterly uninformed he is. We need another debate to remind them.
-
That is one thing I know that will not change.....you not wanting Trump ever, and me wanting Trump. I will always see that in Cruz, you won't ever see it.
Flowers, I consider myself a pragmatic optimist. If it were in Cruz to see, I think I would see it. It just ain't there. I know the propaganda has been hot and heavy and makes it difficult to see pretty much anything, but basing a decision on history, past statements and stances and accomplishments is very useful and can cut through the fog.
When someone posts something negative about Cruz that is even remotely believable, I check it out. So far, he's clean. Not perfect, but acceptable.
I do the same for DT. And, again, I don't have any particular animus towards DT, I just don't trust him as a presidential candidate based on his history and positions held and changed, and the fact that he is willing to say the most outrageous things about other candidates. Pedophile and Ben Carson spring to mind.
I will also add that you are one of the very few vocal DT supporters whom I have not put on ignore, because you have retained some sanity and don't find the need to incessantly bash non-DT supporters. (I don't like how that sounds, but I am trying to be as honest as possible too.)
I keep reminding myself that this will only last for another few months and we should all be mature enough to handle it in the meantime and resume relationships after it is settled. I hope that is the case.
-

 Cruz would prove Trump to be the phony, fraud and liar that he is.

I've a better idea.
Let's get Trump, Cruz, Kasich, Bernie, and o'er-the-Hillary all on one stage, for a free-for-all.
That would be GREAT..! ;)
