Vice President JD Vance on Thursday said the H-1B visa program should be eliminated.

He called it "completely broken" and claimed employers use it to replace American workers with cheaper foreign labor, the Daily Wire reported.

“My view is the H-1B program is completely broken, and I’d be very supportive of just eliminating it. But while we have it, what we have to do is protect American workers. So I understand people are annoyed. What I would say is tell your congressman to fix this program," Vance said in an interview with conservative influencer Jack Posobiec aboard Air Force Two.

The H1-B visa program allows companies to import lower-cost indentured servants, rather than raise up the American middle class, and allow foreign companies to steal American intellectual property and business practices.

The H1-B visa program gives away American competitive advantages to foreign competitors in exchange for American kleptocratic oligarchs getting richer at the expense of the American working middle class.

I've had the honor of training my offshore replacement.  I'm not going to sacrifice anything for a Government that keeps selling me out at every turn.

When DC burns, I shall not weep.  They brought it upon themselves.

If he holds to the position of eliminating H1B entirely, he'll have my vote. This is a winning position with the voters, IMHO.
America should be run for the benefit of Americans, not for foreigners, not for corporations.

Tough but not impossible to put the toothpaste back into the tube.

Too many companies will fight tooth and nail for these Visa holders.

My contention is that eventually the number of Visas will significantly drop, but not a corresponding increase in citizen employment will happen.  In this age of technology, companies will simply hire the people from their home country at less wages and have them work from there.

An even cheaper option than bringing them to the US

Americans are tired of being gaslit over the H-1B scam.  Just look at what is happening in Texas.  Plano, Sugar Land and the north side of Austin may as well be suburbs of Hyderabad.  The greedy business owners will not give our college graduates a chance because they simply do not want to pay a market salary with benefits.  And they want to abuse their help.

Seventeen Techniques for Truth Suppression

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

The H1-B visa program is not broken.  It's working as designed - to repress wages and discourage labor competition within Big Tech.

It's saving Big Tech companies from having to openly compete for freely mobile talent by shackling cheaper foreign college graduates to the employer that sponsor's that worker's H1-B visa.
