You must know know what everything means.

He has been saying for weeks that the Chinese is supplying arms, intelligence and critical military components.

Now he says everything, except troops.

That's pretty inclusive.

You are reaching for extremes - the Chinese would never supply a nuke to any one because they are not stupid; they know that the material in a nuke can be traced back to the country of origin.

Its only as inclusive as you make it. They could also be supplying magic fairy dust, herds of unicorns, or free tickets to Disneyland by your measure. Now you prove they are not supplying those things.

Iranian officials have responded with ridicule to President Donald Trump's threat to wage economic war on their country.

Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's deputy foreign minister for legal and international affairs, said the apparent pivot in U.S. strategy will fail.

"The military war didn’t yield results, so now they’ve named the next failure 'economic war,'" Gharibabadi said in an overnight post on X. "They claim Iran is on the brink of collapse and hanging by a thread, yet they beg all their allies to help them!"

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on social media that Trump's "Economic D-Day" is a "a diversion from America's own crisis: unprecedented debt & surging interest costs."

Araghchi was referring to the news this week that the U.S. national debt surpassed $40 trillion. The federal government's debt burden crossed the $39 trillion threshold about five months ago in March.

"Doubling down on failed policies will only bring further defeat—and enmity of Iranians. US economic terrorism threatens global economy and sovereignty worldwide," Araghchi added.

The Trump administration has not publicly responded to the Iranian officials’ remarks as of Thursday morning. Trump has repeatedly argued that Iran is already badly weakened militarily and that the new economic campaign will "cripple them."

Friggin' embarassing.

The Iranians don't need to win.  Their plan was to draw America into a protracted war to bleed us and let us defeat ourselves.  So far, we have been playing right into their trap.

Sometimes, it's better to be a cunning fox than to be an impetuous rabid dog.

Iran taps financial lifeline, Russian arms as Trump escalates 'crushing' economic warfare
Behnam Ben Taleblu says Tehran is working to enmesh itself with Moscow and Beijing against U.S. economic pressure
By Emma Bussey Fox News
Published August 19, 2026 9:09pm EDT

Tehran is deepening its financial and military ties with Beijing and Moscow, forging a critical lifeline as it seeks to circumvent U.S. sanctions and weather Washington’s renewed "maximum pressure" campaign, regional security analysts warned Wednesday.

As the U.S. continues to ramp up Operation Economic Fury, Iran, they say, has turned to non-Western blocs and alliances to unite further with Russia and China while positioning itself as a "linchpin" in a network that directly challenges American influence.

The warning came as President Donald Trump announced Wednesday what he called the "most crushing economic operation ever taken against any country," threatening sweeping consequences for nations and businesses that provide Iran with an economic lifeline as he seeks to further isolate Tehran.

"This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale," Trump said in a post shared on Truth Social.

🇮🇷 Exclusive information revealed to C14 Senior Iran Analyst @DBalazada exposes a stunning power struggle at the top of the Iranian regime.

According to a source close to the IRGC, Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is being deliberately kept in the dark about Iran’s hunger, economic crisis and growing public fury, while Ahmad Vahidi and the Revolutionary Guards increasingly call the shots.

Their reported strategy is as dangerous as it is cynical: escalate against the U.S., provoke Trump into responding, and turn Iran’s domestic crisis into a national war to help the regime survive.

Iranian president says it's time to end the war, appearing to take aim at radicals

Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkia called for an end to Iran's war with the U.S. on Friday during a speech at the General Assembly of the Islamic Association of the Medical Society of Iran.

"It is better to end the war today, when we are in power and dignity and the whole world acknowledges our victory and emphasizes that America, contrary to all regulations, attacked our schools, hospitals, and infrastructure, and is hated in the world," Pezeshkia said, according to a translation of a text copy of his speech posted to an Iranian state media website.

Pezeshkia appeared to take a subtle jab at hardliners in his own country, criticizing people "sitting outside the circle."

"In the meantime, some people are sitting outside the circle; because they do not know the state of the government, the state of the parliament, and the state of the commanders, they make comments and analysis, even though they have not experienced any suffering or hardship, and then they talk about the cost. They do not find a single clause in this agreement that indicates a commitment; all commitments are related to the other party," he said.

The president also acknowledged the financial toll the war has taken on Iran.

"Criticizing the problems of inflation and issues arising from the war is not consistent with the slogans of some. When we chant slogans, we must also accept their severity," he added.

Iran is broadcasting to us what is working.  And every time before that they have done this, Trump backed off.

This is what works:

- Bombing the IRGC
- Cutting off their funding
- Blocking their ports
- Blocking their rail lines
- Blocking them from selling oil
- Blocking them from importing gasoline
- Confiscating their global assets
- Bombing the IRGC some more

No more negotiations.  No more terms.  They must surrender now.

An Iranian Shiite cleric said the smell of "burned flesh" still lingers near the compound of Iran's late supreme leader, according to video circulated by Iranian media and shared Friday by Iran International.

"Someone told me that when you go near the Supreme Leader’s compound, you can still smell burned flesh. I went there myself and found it was true — you can still smell burned flesh," the cleric told a nighttime gathering of Islamic Republic supporters in Tehran's Tajrish Square.

The cleric also disputed previous accounts of the scale of the attack on the compound.

“Our leader had a frail body, but contrary to reports that seven or eight bombs were dropped on the site, they hit the Supreme Leader’s compound with 110 bombs and missiles,” he said.

Iran International did not identify the cleric in its X post or provide independent confirmation of his account.

Three unspecified Houthi military sources and Republic of Yemen Government (ROYG) Information Minister Moammar al Eryani told Western media on August 19 that the Houthis are preparing to seize control of the Bab al Mandeb Strait [ between Ethiopia and Yemen, narrower than Hormuz ].

The Houthi sources stated that 2,000 Houthi fighters recently deployed to “front lines” along Yemen's western coast in Taiz and Hudaydah governorates.

The sources also said that the Houthis aim to set conditions for an assault on the strait through recent Houthi-claimed attacks on ROYG naval assets.

Pentagon: 774 US Troops Killed, Wounded in Iran War

By Charlie McCarthy    |   Friday, 21 August 2026 01:03 PM EDT

The number of U.S. troops killed or wounded in the war with Iran has risen to 774 after the Pentagon added dozens of injured service members to its casualty count in recent days.

The number listed as wounded climbed from 697 on Wednesday to 756 on Thursday, an increase of 59, according to the War Department's Defense Casualty Analysis System on Friday.

The number of American military deaths remained at 18.

The Pentagon did not immediately explain the sharp increase, including when or where the newly recorded injuries occurred.

The War Department has divided the casualties into two categories following a pause and the subsequent resumption of large-scale hostilities against Iran.

Operation Epic Fury, which began with U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran on Feb. 28, accounts for 417 wounded and 14 deaths, according to Pentagon data.

Another 339 wounded troops and four deaths are classified under "overseas operations," a category covering casualties since July 7.

The Pentagon created the second designation because Operation Epic Fury had concluded, and casualties from renewed fighting would be recorded separately, an official told The Associated Press last month.

The Hill reported that the Pentagon's casualty database had previously drawn scrutiny from media outlets and Democrat lawmakers after the number of U.S. troops listed as killed or wounded declined.

The July 7 distinction also carries significance under the War Powers Resolution.

They grouped them into "killed, wounded" so they can make it seem like 100's have died. It 's dishonest. Most people only read the headline.

Traffic in Strait of Hormuz skyrockets nearly 400%, as analysts say Iran’s grip on critical waterway weakens

By Gabrielle Fahmy

Iran appears to be losing its grip on the Strait of Hormuz while traffic through the critical waterway has exploded by nearly 400% over the last two weeks — as ships increasingly use a US-backed corridor to cross.

Nearly 200 ships navigated the strait last week, up from 150 the previous week and just 40 two weeks earlier, according to data from the UK Maritime Trade Operations Center.

The surge brings total traffic along the passage route to about 20% of pre-war levels, through which roughly 20% of the world’s seaborne oil flowed in peacetime.

Treasury Sec. Scott Bessent is expected to announce a massive wave of sanctions targeting Iran's economy on Monday.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, has vowed that Iran will retaliate in a "seismic" manner to any sanctions. He also warned that any country working to support the sanctions would be committing an "act of war" against Iran.

"If the economic war continues, not a single drop of oil will be exported٫ neither through the Strait of Hormuz nor from anywhere in the Persian Gulf. Iran will regard any country’s participation in or support for America’s economic war against the Iranian people as an act of war," Rezaei wrote on X.

The Hill reported that the Pentagon's casualty database had previously drawn scrutiny from media outlets and Democrat lawmakers after the number of U.S. troops listed as killed or wounded declined.

The July 7 distinction also carries significance under the War Powers Resolution.

Gotta love that reporting (>spit!<) "774 troops killed, wounded"....instead of 14 killed, 760 wounded. We don't know what level of injuries were suffered by most, nor whether those injuries were the result of enemy action. If someone is injured on deployment, is that included? After all, life on a warship or military base has it's inherent hazards. You are around large and dangerous equipment.
The media must be longing for the days of throwing up Vietnam body counts and hanging with Uncle Ho's boys at the AA gun.

They grouped them into "killed, wounded" so they can make it seem like 100's have died. It 's dishonest. Most people only read the headline.

US not ruling out resuming military action against Iran, Hegseth says

War Secretary Pete Hegseth said the Trump administration isn't ruling out resuming military force against Iran.

"By no means are we foreclosing using kinetic strikes anywhere in the Strait of Hormuz or around Iran," Hegseth told reporters. "If Iran is foolish enough to overplay their hand or mess with the American military, we'll do what we need to do. But economic pressure, we know, hurts them the most right now."

His remarks came after Washington introduced an "economic D-Day" against Tehran in an effort to squeeze its economy.

The number of fatalities remains unchanged at 18.  The increase is in the number of wounded, which is bad enough!

Did you also make that point when Biden pulled out of Kabul and was responsible for the murder of 11 Marines?  Or is this only a Trump thing?

Iran claims it is 'fully prepared' to handle Trump's 'Economic D-Day'

Iranian Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh claims the Tehran regime is "fully prepared" to handle the new sanctions under President Donald Trump's "Economic D-Day" effort.

Madanizadeh predicted in an interview with Iranian state television that the sanctions will end in "another defeat" for the U.S.

"They have done everything they could to test the determination of the Iranian people and the country's officials, but they have failed every time. It seems they wished to suffer yet another defeat," Madanizadeh told state media.

"We've been waiting for these plans for a long time, and the government is and was ready and has a two-year plan to manage these events," he added.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent described the sanctions on Monday as "the single greatest financial offensive ever."

Iran is broadcasting to us what is working.  And every time before that they have done this, Trump backed off.

This is what works:

- Bombing the IRGC
- Cutting off their funding
- Blocking their ports
- Blocking their rail lines
- Blocking them from selling oil
- Blocking them from importing gasoline
- Confiscating their global assets
- Bombing the IRGC some more

No more negotiations.  No more terms.  They must surrender now.

Agree.

This is what will work.  The IRGC party picnic will be very lightly attended this year.

Good post.
