California's tiered system for COVID-19 vaccine distribution will no longer be necessary, and all Californians will be eligible for vaccinations within the next few weeks, California Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday.

As coronavirus vaccine supplies are more abundant, the shot will be easier to distribute, Newsom said.

"We’re anticipating within 5 1/2 weeks we can eliminate all of the tiering, so to speak, and make available vaccines to everybody across the spectrum because supply will exponentially increase," he said at a press conference in the San Francisco Bay area.

Noisome is lying. According to the CDC, https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#vaccinations , last updated 3/21, California has received 18.876 million doses of vaccine, and done 14.708 million injections. IOW, there are 4 million doses of vaccine sitting in storage. Among the US states, CA has been at or below average for usage as a percentage of doses delivered. California does not have a vaccine shortage, it has an F'ed up distribution and vaccination program.

I just got my first Moderna injection today at the Anaheim Convention Center, they are setup pretty good and could certainly handle quite a lot more than were there. I will say that I don't believe anyone is being excluded no matter what the official 1A, 1B status line they tell us because I saw so many young to middle age and seniors in line and getting vaccinated. Hell no one is checking anything so all a person has to do is sign up with Othena, the vaccine tracking app, check that they meet the critical standards and poof! they get to schedule their appt. and only have to show ID and the QCR code and they are golden.

Oh?

So CA has achieved an "equitable" level of distribution and now the rest of the peasants can get in line?

Screw you Newscum.
