John McDonnell faces a Labour revolt to unseat him as shadow chancellor after he said there was “a lot to learn” from Karl Marx's Das Kapital.
Shadow cabinet sources said Jeremy Corbyn’s right-hand man, who has described himself in the past as an “unapologetic Marxist”, had done nothing to help Labour’s cause with a month to go to the general election.
And while they said it was too late to mount a challenge to Mr McDonnell or Mr Corbyn before the June 8 ballot, there will be “no holding back” when Labour MPs come back to Parliament after the election.
They will mount an immediate attempt to oust Mr Corbyn and Mr McDonnell after the election, though they concede that Mr Corbyn is likely to cling on to power and resist attempts to force a leadership election.
The shadow chancellor said last year that it was “inevitable” he and Mr Corbyn would have to resign if they lost the election, but he refused to make the same prediction yesterday, saying only: “We’re going to win this election because our country needs us”.

Strange how people vote themselves into poverty over and over again... They think they can take labor from someone in the name of fairness and somehow at the same time increase their nation's wealth... It always destroys overall wealth over time. And that wealth destruction makes everyone's lives worse when the consequences eventually come due.

Most people don't care because they only think near term. As long as they get what they want today then they are happy.
