Video: Congressman Claims He Was Told Government Could Listen To Phone Calls Without A Warrant

Democratic New York Rep. Jerrold Nadler claims he was told in a closed-door briefing that the NSA could listen to a specific phone call, and get a call’s “contents” without a warrant, based solely on an analyst’s decision. FBI Director Robert Mueller said that wasn’t true. Nadler said he asked the same question at the closed-door briefing where he received the different answer. Nadler’s office did not return an immediate request to clarify his comments. posted on

NSA admits listening to U.S. phone calls without warrants

National Security Agency discloses in secret Capitol Hill briefing that thousands of analysts can listen to domestic phone calls. That authorization appears to extend to e-mail and text messages too.

Does no congressmen or senators read or know what is in the constitution? Do we have a group of ignorant men running our government? Doesn't anyone ever question what they are doing to the regular people who they are sent to DC to represent. Do we not have very many men in congress with character and high morals who are there for the right reasons? What in the world can we do with the government that sleeping or ignorant Americans let get a hold of us

Instead of vetting our candidates as to their POV on abortion and gay marriage etc., we should make them take a freaking test on the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and exactly what their priorities are on Capitol Hill.

If we did that then Abortion and Gay Marriage would be off the table because they would actually know this isn't their business to take up - it is a 10th amendment issue and falls to the individual states rights.
