Title: News Omarosa fired, ‘physically dragged’ from the White House
Post by: Gefn on December 13, 2017, 03:07:19 pm
Official word is she resigned. I found an article from September that indicates she may have been pushed out.

She is a huge fan of the president, was on two editions of "The Apprentice", and Trump gave her a reality dating show when her marriage ended.

Omarosa fired, ‘physically dragged’ from the White House

By Yaron Steinbuch

December 13, 2017 | 10:05am |

Omarosa Manigault Newman, the former contestant on President Trump’s “The Apprentice,” was fired and forcibly removed from the White House after Secret Service agents blocked her path to his office, according to reports.

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders issued a statement saying Manigault Newman resigned as director of communications in the Office of Public Liaison “to pursue other opportunities.”

“Her departure will not be effective until Jan. 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service,” Sanders said.

Good to see General Kelly continuing to flex his muscle.  The more involved and influential he is, the better IMO.

'I wish you continued success': Trump thanks the departing Omarosa as the Secret Service DENIES they physically kicked her out of White House after foul-mouthed rant at John Kelly
Daily Mail/UK, Dec 13, 2017

The US Secret Service is denying reports on Wednesday that it physically removed Omarosa Manigault from the White House after she was reportedly fired from her job as an adviser to President Donald Trump.

Earlier on Tuesday, sources inside the White House told DailyMail.com that reports indicating that Manigault was fired and escorted out on Tuesday evening after cursing out Chief of Staff John Kelly were incorrect.

American Urban Radio Network White House Correspondent and CNN contributor April Ryan's claim that she was is the result of a 'personal vendetta' against Manigault, one said

More tabloid gossip by a media feeding frenzy that has NO standards and NO accountability for anything they report under the cover of the 1st Amendment.  Something has to give.  Not just the media, but accountability for libel and slander.  The laws make it so tough to prove it give free platforms to the media and people like Gloria Allred.

"White House statement: 'Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities. Her departure will not be effective until January 20, 2018. We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service"

Well at least the excuse isn't the same old "leaving to spend more time with their family" excuse. It's nice every once in a while to have a little variety. We will never know what really happened since you can't believe the WH nor the press. I guess we should just count our blessings and be grateful that she is gone.

In 2007, Eric Trump established the Eric Trump Foundation, a public charity with the purpose to raise money for terminally-ill children and cancer patients at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Tennessee.[9][10] On November 30, 2012, the foundation committed to raising $20 million over a 10-year period for the naming rights to the new Eric Trump Foundation Surgery & ICU Center in the Kay Research and Care Center, a $198 million tower that was officially opened on February 19, 2015, on the St. Jude campus".[11][12]

It wasn't a cheap shot.  It was a legitimate question.  What qualifies his family members as "advisers" and what exactly do they do?

I don't like presidents appointing or nominating friends, family, golfing buddies, campaign donors, fraternity brothers and the like to positions of authority or positions created just to give them a resume-enhancing title.  It's not just Trump -- every president does it.  Most of them are ill suited for the jobs they are put into and some are being compensated in some manner with our tax dollars for doing nothing beneficial to this country.

As a taxpayer, you should be concerned about this sort of thing.  But maybe, unlike me, you are fabulously wealthy and really don't care where your tax dollars go.

Those so called advisors will get paid no matter who they are, family or not. So...non issue.

A president is entitled to trusted advisors. No one person, no matter how smart, can get their arms around all of the issues this country faces without them. So...who would you trust more than family members?

There "were a lot of things that I observed during the last year that I was very unhappy with,” she said.

"But when I have my story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House; as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people. And when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear," Manigault added.

In her role in the Trump administration, Manigault was among the White House advisers earning the highest salary ($179,700 a year), according to a White House list of staff salaries.

She was in charge of outreach to the leaders of HBCUs (historically black colleges and universities) and also oversaw the president’s visit to the Smithsonian’s African American museum in Washington, D.C. But Manigault's day-to-day duties could not be pinpointed and, according to Politico, she used the White House as a backdrop for her 39-person bridal party to take wedding photos.

It is an issue if they have no skills or experience and thus cannot advise the president on anything.

As to family members -- the question remains, what do they know about the issues that would qualify them to advise the president!  As far as I can tell, Trump's children and the son-in-law have lived lives of luxury -- if not all their lives, then certainly in recent years. They are so far removed from the struggles of everyday Americans.  About all they think  they know comes from the media and we all know how inaccurate and biased that is.   Have any of them been to hell holes like North Korea or Africa?  What do they know about terrorism?  When was the last time they visited a dying former mill town or a slum, or better yet, lived for a time in one of those places? Have they ever tried to stretch a Social Security check to last till the next one comes?

President Kennedy had his brother, Bobby, as Attorney General.  But at least Bobby had a law degree and legal experience. What do the adult Trump children and the son-in-law bring to the table?

Trump supporters elected a president. They did not elect a royal family.  If you want to live under a monarchy, there are a number of them around the world with plenty of do-nothing relatives the taxpayers have to pay for.  The founders did not intend for this country to have a monarchy and I for one would rather live in a country without one.

Fired White House staffer Omarosa Manigault warns she will divulge administration's secrets
by Anna Giaritelli | Dec 14, 2017, 9:33 AM

Omarosa Manigault, outgoing director of the White House Office of Public Liaison, hinted Thursday she plans to tell the public about inappropriate things she witnessed while a member of President Trump's White House this year.

Manigault told ABC News on Thursday there "were a lot of things that I observed during the last year that I was very unhappy with."

"But when I have my story to tell as the only African-American woman in this White House, as a senior staff and assistant to the president, I have seen things that have made me uncomfortable, that have upset me, that have affected me deeply and emotionally, that has affected my community and my people and when I can tell my story, it is a profound story that I know the world will want to hear," Manigault added.

I'm willing to bet that there's a whole bunch of dems who would be happy to support her lawsuit...

No doubt.  I wonder what kind of teeth are in a NDA with President Trump?  You know his lawyers have written those by the box car.  I'll bet the fines are way higher than the legal fees, and she is a bright gal, bright enough to know that the Dems would drop her the instant she loses, sticking her with the fines even if they do pick up the legal bills.

She'll end up living in one of @Frank Cannon's Section 8 tenements by the end of next year.

I don't think unless it's something that involves National Security there is such a thing as an NDA when you're president is there?

I mean look at all the ex staffers from previous administrations that write "tell all" books about "behind the scenes" machinations in President (insert name) Administration.

Trump can do that with his businesses but I don't think it extends to the WH.

You may be right.  If sanctions exist, they are likely criminal in nature.  How would one craft a NDA in an environment of Government Sunshine laws?

I don't think you can because then you start running afoul of Federal whistle blower protection laws.

Someone would only get in trouble if there were national security/classified type information released.

I guess it depends on what she thinks she has that's important enough to blab.  In a normal world, I can't imagine she has much, but with the press lapping up every drop of flop-sweat that comes out of this White House, who knows.

Just in case you forgot, this is the same woman ...

“Every critic, every detractor, will have to bow down to President Trump ... It’s everyone who’s ever doubted Donald, who ever disagreed, who ever challenged him. It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.”

She's a loonbag.
