Trump has discussed firing Fed chief after latest interest rate hike: report
By Brooke Seipel and John Bowden - 12/21/18 11:59 PM EST

President Trump has discussed firing Federal Reserve chairman Jerome Powell after the central bank announced this week that it would raise interest rates, Bloomberg reports.

The Fed’s policymaking arm, the Federal Open Market Committee, voted Wednesday to raise the baseline interest rate range to 2.25 to 2.5 percent, a 0.25 percentage point increase.

The decision was staunchly opposed by Trump, who had for months argued that rates should not rise.

According to Bloomberg, the decision led Trump to privately discuss firing Powell. Unnamed advisers told the news outlet that they hoped the president would back down from the threats over the Christmas holiday.

This is all on President Trump.  He insists on appointing former Bush people and then wanders when they put the screws to the economy solely to destroy the economy to force Trump out.

Either Trump starts getting smart, and ends appointing anyone that had anything to do with the Bushes, or he loses big time come 2020.  His last three appointments were staunch Bushies.  Ugggh!

Either he searches for his own team, or he hangs up his spurs, for me and millions will not vote for him in 2020 if he keeps this stupidity up!

The ONLY promise he made I am aware of that he said he would implement day one was the end of the H1-b Visa Program.  He has failed to do this, and I am 100% certain that means the loss of 1-2 million votes.  He just can't afford the loss of any votes, for next time HR Clinton will amend her foolish errors and focus on fixing what she failed to do last time.

Either he gets smart, or she clobbers him in 2020.  Many Republicans and Independents will just not vote for the next election, which will have Trump and many Republican senators ending their political career.
