On Wednesday, it was revealed that First Lady Melania Trump is a practicing Roman Catholic, making the Slovenian-born beauty the first Catholic in the White House since former President John F. Kennedy and his wife Jackie.
As reported by The Daily Mail, Melania spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham confirmed the first lady's religion mere hours after she visited His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican, where she asked him to bless a rosary for her.
Today's visit with His Holiness Pope Francis @Pontifex is one I'll never forget. I was humbled by the honor. Blessings to all.
Melania and her young son, Barron, currently reside in New York City, but will be moving into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue after the school year is over.

I think you may missed the point. It is not about what religion she is, or is not. It is about having a Catholic in the White House for the first time since 1963. It is just an interesting milestone, that's all.

So, the Papa gave Trump a look about climate change, yet, Obama, a big abortion pusher got along swimmingly with Pope Francis. That's not to say Pope Francis has not been solidly pro-life, he has been.

What, there have been no employees at that place that were Roman Catholics between Kennedy getting shot and now?
It's not like we elected her. Heck, she didn't even move in for months. This "milestone" is pretty meaningless.

It's not like we elected her. Heck, she didn't even move in for months. This "milestone" is pretty meaningless.
Not necessarily. One with logic would conclude that Melania, as Trump's wife and life partner, would have much more sway over him than any mere WH employee would have. If she is a practicing Catholic... she might have some impact on some of his stances re: morality and especially concerning abortion issues. Hope springs, anyway.

If she is a practicing Catholic... she might have some impact on some of his stances re: morality and especially concerning abortion issues. Hope springs, anyway.
The fact that there may have been cleaning staff in the White House who may have been Catholic is so far off the point that I didn't even bother to respond to it. A Catholic FLOTUS is a thing to be noted. If there are those who disagree with that, then that is fine with me. I just happen to think it is worth a comment or two. But that's just me.
