Newest version of Donald Trump’s ‘Apprentice’ plays out at hush money trial with VP candidates lining up

A parade of contestants has shown up for the new series of “The Apprentice” at the Manhattan Criminal Courthouse.

Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Rep. Byron Donalds all starred in this week’s episode in which contestants vie to be Donald Trump’s running mate as he endures the indignities of Manhattan DA “Fat Alvin” Bragg’s hush money trial.

“I do have a lot of surrogates and they are speaking very beautifully,” Trump told reporters.

In previous episodes, they’ve gone to Mar-a-Lago to audition for the role of vice presidential candidate or appeared on television with pithy attacks on lawfare.

Burgum shot to Number 1 favorite in bookmakers’ rankings after he appeared alongside Trump at the GOP candidate’s weekend Wildwood, NJ, rally.

But as fans of the original NBC series starring Trump from 2004 to 2017 — billed as “The Ultimate Job Interview” — will know, the winner is not always evident halfway through a season. Sometimes it was the person you least expected or a dark horse you hadn’t noticed.

House Dems who waved Ukraine flags hit with ethics complaint

Democrats who showed where their true loyalty lies when they waved Ukrainian flags on the House floor could now be facing an ethics complaint.

When the long overdue $61 billion American taxpayer gift to the notoriously corrupt Eastern European country passed last month, Dem lawmakers whipped out their little blue and yellow flags and vigorously flapped them in the air, showing far more enthusiasm than they ever do for anything that even remotely benefits their own country.

The vulgar display drew an angry response from some Republicans and now the House Ethics Committee is being asked to look into whether the 28 offenders violated congressional rules on decorum and to “hold the wrongdoers accountable.”

The conservative Heritage Foundation sent a letter to the Ethics Committee on Wednesday requesting the immediate opening of an investigation into the conduct of the Democrats led by Reps. Seth Magaziner (D-RI), Bill Pascrell Jr. (D-NJ), and Diana DeGette (D-CO) who reportedly helped to pass out the flags.

“The conduct of waving the flag impugns the reputation of the House because foreign flags dilute the primacy and importance of deep American traditions, American lives sacrificed, and the land that the American flag represents,” reads the letter which was reported by the Washington Examiner. “Not only do these flagrant displays of foreign capitulation disrespect our American heritage and the American way of life, but it also directly insults the American people.”

DULZURA, Calif. —  At dawn came a dozen men, women and children from Nepal. Following in the twilight was a cluster of families from Peru, Ecuador and Colombia, along with half a dozen Chinese men.
Behind them were men from India and couples from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan carrying infants.

Scattered migrants kept arriving at the top of a steep dirt road to surrender to U.S. border agents in order to claim asylum.

“I am finally here, in America,” Justin Agbobli, 30, who had traveled from Togo in West Africa, proclaimed in French. “Today is a dream come true!”
