I was never a supporter of the Dept of Education.  The results are clear.  Education quality has declined dramatically since the department was created.  So, they accomplished nothing of note.

But they do control student loans for those at colleges and universities across the nation.  With the department nixed, who picks up that process moving forward?  My understanding is that student loans could be disrupted causing hundreds of thousands of USA students to face not being able to continue their education.  If that happens, more votes lost by the Republicans for 2026.

I have an idea.  Why don't we just alienate every citizen in the USA?  Sure appears to be the Trump mission.  Ah yes, how to win friends and influence enemies.  Hmmmm!!!

Zohran Mamdani press conference abruptly ends with aide pulling him away during reporters questions
'I think we're done here,' a campaign staffer chimed in as Mamdani attempted to listen to a reporter's question

An endorsement event for Zohran Mamdani, the Democratic nominee for New York City mayor, came to an abrupt end Monday when he was pulled offstage by a campaign aide.

After accepting the American Federation of Musicians, Local 802's endorsement, Mamdani answered a few questions about former Gov. Andrew Cuomo deciding to stay in the race as an independent candidate and his upcoming meeting with House Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

About 20 minutes into the event, before Mamdani could continue answering reporters' questions, his campaign staffers stepped in to say: "I think we're done here. We're going to go. Come on. We're wrapping up, folks. Sorry folks. We're wrapping up."

But Mamdani stood by the podium, attempting to hear the reporters' questions over the chorus of campaign aides' voices, until the band on site for the event began playing "When the Saints Go Marching In." With a smile on his face, Mamdani was pulled away when a campaign aide grabbed his arm.

Oh, Dems, are you sure there are no members of the DNC establishment in those files?
I suspect there a lot more Dems than Repubs.

This Rosie thing is damned puzzling.

Trump is usually the one that does the trolling, and makes others head's explode.  This wench isn;t worth the effort.

Agreed. I know their dislike of one another  goes way back. But I'm pretty sure he can't revoke her citizenship for this. When was the last time, and for what reason, did a person have their citizenship revoked and for what reason? Not just for running an obnoxious mouth, I'm sure.

Cuomo joins Mamdani, Mayor Eric Adams, who is also running as an independent, and Republican Curtis Sliwa in the general election race.
He's not the least bit serious about saving NYC from the Marxist, then.

Let's stop attacking other Briefers and getting back to the war updates?

Thank you.

And thank you @Hoodat and all others that have provided updates on the situation. I even take note of respectful disagreements. They make me think and look things up.

Weird,

I had to look up what chomo meant.  In a regular prison, yes, being a chomo would be a real threat.  And you believe he would go to a regular prison?  Seriously?   HELL NO!!!  He would go to a country club prison, where he can bone up on his tennis game, while writing his memoirs at the computer in his room, just like Ivan Boesky.

Your #2....who cares...a bit of minutia that means nothing.

Your #3... long shot they gain control over both houses of Congress, but my point is that it is possible, perhaps  not probable.  But if they do gain control of both houses of Congress, Trump is history.  He will be convicted and removed.  And they do not need truth or justice on their side, they just need one vote more than the opposing view.
