Warren says she'll run for reelection to Senate

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D) says she will run for reelection in 2024.
In an interview with Politico on Friday, Warren, when asked if she planned to run for re-election, responded “yep.”
The senator, who will turn 72-years-old next month, was first elected to the upper chamber in 2012, and has since emerged as a key member of the Democratic caucus, especially in its growing progressive wing.
After unsuccessfully running for president in 2020, Warren became a contender to become then-Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden’s running mate. Then-Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) ultimately joined Biden on the Democratic ticket.
