Power went out at Rockefeller Center on Saturday evening and reports on social media indicated the outage was widespread throughout midtown and possibly the Upper West Side.
Much of Rockefeller Center was without power.
The MTA tweeted that it was receiving reports of power outages at multiple stations.
Con Edison didn't immediately respond to multiple phone messages and emails.

New York subway stations in Manhattan hit by power outages

(CNN)The New York subway system was experiencing power outages throughout Manhattan on Saturday evening, the agency managing the trains said.
"We're working to identify causes and keep trains moving," the Metropolitan Transportation Authority tweeted.

Con Edison’s outage map reported power was lost to more than 19,000 customers on the Upper West Side, Hells Kitchen and Midtown.
FDNY dispatchers received numerous calls about stuck elevators and lights out in Midtown.
An early unconfirmed report said there was a transformer fire at 12th Ave. around W. 54th St.
The outage came 42 years to the day after the giant 1977 blackout, in which power was lost to most of the city.

Midtown Blackout Knocks Out Power to Nearly 40K: ConEd
Firefighters were responding to reports of people trapped in elevators
A blackout across much of midtown Manhattan and part of the Upper West Side knocked out power to nearly 40,000 customers on Saturday evening, Con Edison said.
The outage stretched from 40th Street to Columbus Circle, according to the FDNY. The Con Ed power outage map, which showed more than 38,800 customers were without power, indicated the outage stretched from the far west side to Fifth Avenue.
"We are responding to extensive outages on the Westside of Manhattan," Con Ed said in a tweet.
Firefighters were on the scene of a transformer fire on 64th Street and West End Avenue, the FDNY tweeted. Firefighters were also responding to reports of people trapped in elevators.
Much of Rockefeller Center was without power since about 7 p.m.
There was limited subway service across New York City, according to the MTA.
The NYPD tweeted that it was responding to reports of power outages at the Columbus Circle subway station. Several people in the station tweeted photos and videos of the darkened platform.
There as partial suspension of the 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, A, C, E, D, F, M, L, M, Q, R and S, lines.
Traffic lights were out and police were directing traffic around Rockefeller Center.
The signs at Radio City Music Hall and on the entrances to Rockefeller Center were blackened.
