Title: Police: Don't call 911 to report Facebook is down
Post by: RoosGirl on October 13, 2017, 05:30:25 am
Police in Washington state are asking residents to refrain from calling 911 just to report problems accessing Facebook.

Facebook and Instagram experienced widespread outages Wednesday, leading some panicked users in Bothell, Wash., to report their social networking emergencies to 911.

I doubt it was just Bothell, WA where this happened.  Everywhere else was just too embarrassed about the people that live in their city to put it in the news.

Personally I think people who call 911 for these sort of things should be billed for wasting law enforcement's time.

There should be a price for being that stupid.
