Laurie Johnson dies at 96

The English composer is best known in America for his incidental television music. He composed the theme to the 1960s TV series The Avengers, and his stock music piece "Happy Go Lively" was a cartoon staple period piece from the same era.

Guy sitting on the sofa says, "I love you!!"
Wife says, "Is that you talking?  Or, the whiskey?
Guy says, "That's me talking to my whiskey!"

His handlers know he'll be in really bad shape by convention time. He barely makes public appearances now.

So will it be a virtual debate between Brandon and Trump?

Perhaps a weekend at Bernie's event is just around the corner?

Multiply that by .5 one or two more times, for a number that's probably closer to the truth.

Probably not, but that's only by defining "children" as under 18, and thus including 17, 16 and possibly 15 year old Hamas fighters killed in combat a "deaths of children."

Apparently, we learned nothing from the Japanese car invasion of the 1970s. The trade barriers ruined the US auto industry because the trade barriers meant they did not have to compete. So Detroit built a lot of crappy cars like the Ford Pinto and the Chevy Vega and Corvair. Ultimately, the barriers had to be lifted because we could not build globally competitive vehicles.

Have you looked at the prices of new cars lately?  Why wouldn't we want some competition so that people can have affordable transportation? The trade barriers on this car will just mean that people in other countries will have access to more cars at better value than we in the USA are. That is pathetic.
I get what you are saying and sorta agree with it but Japan is not communist China  who considers the US it's #1 enemy.
I also think the industry has learned from past mistakes...at least I hope so.

Musk did say our Ev industry spent too much on top of the line Ev's and ignored the middle class which Chinas ev's s are geared too
