It's ridiculous and idiotic to even be having this discussion when we're on the brink of losing the house and Senate. But keep being "principled" I guess.

Well, maybe there aren't enough votes to pass a border bill that you want! Have you considered that?
Her point, before being mislabeled as a Putin supporter by even some who claim to be conservative, is that we have sent multiples of the amount it would take to secure OUR border elsewhere, and especially to Ukraine, but there seems to be little interest in stopping the invasion of these United States. That invasion will be our undoing, and without us, the world will fall.

It isn't that BOTH could not be funded, and the two could be linked--as so often is done with all sorts of stuff in spending bills. For this, she gets derided by people who should get it.  **nononono*

Small wonder the country is such a bleep mess.

The language does not criminalize the New Testament, and does not say that blaming Jews for the crucification is anti-semitism. The last five words of the language they cite makes that clear.

But they already knew that.

Johnson’s Incompetence Continues as He Screws Up Antisemitism Resolution; Then Democrats Embarrass Him on Procedural Vote

Bradley Jaye 2 May 2024

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) received a stunning rebuke Wednesday on what should have been a slam-dunk resolution to oppose antisemitism followed by a rare procedural defeat on legislation to clarify mining regulations.

The events, hours after Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY) announced they would force a vote to expel Johnson, do little to show Johnson has a firm hand on the wheel.

The Antisemitism Awareness Act, introduced by Reps. Mike Lawler (R-NY) and Jared Moskowitz (R-FL), would mandate that when the Department of Education enforces federal anti-discrimination laws it uses a definition of antisemitism put forward by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance. While most House members would likely agree that antisemitism is bad, the hastily introduced legislation sparked a firestorm.

Allegedly Knifing A Man Isn't The Worst Thing Kristen Clarke Has Done
David Harsanyi

According to The Daily Signal, there is a strong indication that Kristen Clarke, who now leads the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division, lied during her confirmation process in 2021. In written questions, Sen. Tom Cotton had asked Clarke: “Since becoming a legal adult, have you ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person.” Her answer was “No.”

Clarke, who was arrested in July 2006, allegedly attacked her husband with a knife, “deeply slicing his finger to the bone.” Her pedantic argument is that her record was expunged. But the incident meets all the criteria of being “accused” of a “violent crime.”

Listen, we have no clue how the knife incident went down. It’s a personal matter. Clarke says it happened after years of domestic abuse. Maybe her then-husband had it coming. Maybe not. She still lied to the Senate. And it’s not the only thing she lied about.

Nolte: Desperate Media Cover Up DOJ Official Kristen Clarke’s Potential Perjury

John Nolte 2 May 2024

Under penalty of perjury in 2021, Kristen Clarke, who leads the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, answered no to the following question asked by a U.S. senator: “Have you ever been arrested for or accused of committing a violent crime against any person?”

Turns out she had been arrested and accused of a violent crime. During a domestic altercation with her then-husband in July 2006, Clarke attacked him with a knife, cutting his finger to the bone.

The Daily Signal reports:

Court records obtained by The Daily Signal show that a criminal case against Clarke was initiated in the District Court of Maryland for Prince George’s County, but on Oct. 17, 2006, the Maryland state attorney entered a request of “nolle prosequi” in the case, which effectively dismissed the charge without trial.

Approximately a year-and-a-half later, Clarke sought an “Order for Expungement of Police and Court Records” in the same case.

The arrest was eventually expunged. Clarke and her then-husband divorced three years later. At the time, Clarke had every reason to want the record expunged. She was in charge of the far-left NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund’s voting and election division.

Expunged or not…

She was “arrested and accused of committing a violent crime.” The fact that the record was expunged does not change that fact. She was asked a specific question by a U.S. senator, an elected official who represents the people, and she lied. That’s perjury, pure and simple.
