Police are responding to an active shooting at Columbia Mall in Maryland. Three people are confirmed dead and the mall remains on lockdown. It's unclear whether there is still an active shooting.

Call came into 911 around 11:15 a.m. that shots were fired. Police made entry and found three dead, one found near a gun and ammunition.
UPDATE, 12:24p ET: At least one person confirmed dead was found near gun and ammunition, but has not been identified.
The mall, which is located in a suburb near Baltimore, is on lockdown. Howard County Police Department says there may be three people injured. People have been asked to avoid the area and those in the mall are being told to stay put.
The public information office for the police department is on the scene. Stay tuned for more details.

UPDATE, 12:40p ET: People inside the mall are being told to wait until they are escorted out. The scene is believes to be secure.
UPDATE, 12:34p ET: Randy Brooks, owner of Edward Arthur Jewelers at Columbia Mall, told Uma Pemmaraju that he heard a couple of pops and then saw people running. He said it appeared that the shooter had a shotgun and was killed, but police have not confirmed that. Brooks said others have reportedly been taken to the hospital.

None of the shootings have been getting any press. Must be leftists shooting and these signs are up (http://www.gunssavelife.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/wbt-GFZ-poster.jpg) so there is no way it was a real gun.

UPDATE, 12:48p ET: Federal authorities who are receiving reports from police on the scene report the shooter killed himself. Stay tuned for a press briefing at 1:15 p.m. ET.

My mistake, I forgot, the last shooting was at school and stopped because a cop had gun and shot the shooter, so no big press.

Here, here! But we are dealing with moral cowards who do not have the common decency to go out someplace quiet and off themselves where they won't make a big mess for someone else to clean up. Instead they either have to work themselves up to a frenzy first by killing others or by deliberately provoking police to shoot them, committing "Suicide by Cop".
I also wonder what this guy's username is for World of Warcraft, and whether he has been playing it since he was nine.......

It was a supposed love triangle.
The ex-boyfriend was the shooter, who killed himself after shooting his ex girlfriend and her 'new' boyfriend, a co-worker.
The scene is a skating and apparel wear....so young people are most likely the target audience and thus the workers.
A shotgun was used.
Howard County police have closed the entire mall for the day and they are huge fans and users of Twitter and social media to bring updates.

Younger people are different. They are more violent.
My niece, age 14, was beat up by another 16 year old girl in Flagstaff a few days ago.
A boy blocked the bigger, older girl from stomping the other in the head. The girl disappeared for a few days, but was found and arrested along with another girl.
They were released to parents' custody, and will be tried as juveniles, for aggravated assault.
(I was a fighter to the age of 17. Never kicked anybody in the head. No knives or guns. Never arrested, just suspended. And boys fought then, but not the girls.)

Vegan skater kid was “gentle,” other than his attempted mass murder at a Maryland Mall:
We’re getting more information today about Darion Marcus Aguilar, the 19-year-old who murdered two workers at a skate shop in Maryland mall.
Police said Aguilar used a 12-gague [sic] shot gun during the incident and 16 shots were fired. In addition to the gun and ammunition, crude explosive devices made from flash powder and household items were found in Aguilar’s backpack.
The woman spoke through a friend’s cell phone this afternoon as he was parked in his car in front of their house in College Park, Md.
The friend, Ellis Cropper, told ABC’s Hank Disselkamp he was on the phone with the mother of Darion Aguilar and she agreed to speak briefly to a small group of reporters through her sobs.
“I don’t know what happened. I really don’t,” the woman said. “You can talk to any of his friends and see what a gentle person he is. He never had a gun before, never interested in guns. I don’t know what happened. I just don’t know what happened.”
Cropper said Aguilar just got a promotion at a local Dunkin Donuts and was planning on enrolling in college
“Darion was a good kid,” he said. “I don’t know what happened … Darion is quiet, kept to himself. Nice, normal, calm demeanor.”
John Lott notes the poorly-made explosives that failed to detonate, and stated, “This strikes me as more of an attempt to settle a personal score.” This is especially true if CNN is correct and he didn’t even know his victims.
For whatever reason, this “gentle,” quiet, vegan, animal-loving skateboarder decided to murder people. He also had crude bombs made from fireworks that were recovered from the scene, suggesting that he intended to kill far more people than he did.
Police later found a journal that revealed “general unhappiness” with his life at his home, but have not released details of what Aguilar wrote in his journal, and claim that they don’t yet have a motive for the killings. I find that a little odd, since he purchased the shotgun in December, apparently for this very purpose.
Predictably, the blood-dancers of Moms Demand are blaming the attack on “easy, unregulated access to guns,” purposefully ignoring the fact that Aguilar had no criminal record, and bought his gun legally after passing background checks in one of the most restrictive anti-gun states in the union.
Whatever questions remain about this killing, gun laws cannot be blamed, unless it is to show that even the most restrictive laws fail, and that those craven souls intent on committing mass murder target those they know to be unarmed in “gun free zones.”

As an aside.....the unemployment rate for young blacks is over 50%. We'll be reading about a lot more unexplainable hideous crimes in the coming months.
