I heard on the broadcast last night that Marcell Ozuna is on pace for 220 RBIs this year.  I'm pretty sure that's not actually going to happen, but can you imagine?

Trump slams RFK Jr. in latest social media rant: ‘Wasted protest vote’
by Tara Suter - 04/26/24 11:06 PM ET

Former President Trump came out swinging against independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Friday, despite weeks of amping him up over his likely November rival, President Biden.

In a series of post on Truth Social, Trump suggested Kennedy was put in the race to help Biden win reelection and claimed his running mate, Nichole Shanahan, is not a serious candidate.

“RFK Jr. is a Democrat ‘Plant,’ a Radical Left Liberal who’s been put in place in order to help Crooked Joe Biden, the Worst President in the History of the United States, get Re-Elected,” Trump wrote, adding “A Vote for Junior’ would essentially be a WASTED PROTEST VOTE, that could swing either way, but would only swing against the Democrats if Republicans knew the true story about him.”

In what seems like a reversal of previous comments, he signaled that he would even take Biden over Kennedy. Last month, the former president touted the long-shot candidate’s campaign as “great for MAGA,” referring to the “Make America Great Again” slogan he often uses.

“RFK Jr. is the most Radical Left Candidate in the race, by far. He’s a big fan of the Green New Scam, and other economy killing disasters,” Trump wrote at the time. “I guess this would mean he is going to be taking votes from Crooked Joe Biden, which would be a great service to America.”

“It’s great for MAGA, but the Communists will make it very hard for him to get on the Ballot,” he added in March.

Media Outlets Are Misrepresenting Crime Stats To Biden’s Benefit
© Tampa Free Press

Two of the federal government’s methods of measuring crime tell two different stories, complicating recent claims from the media and President Joe Biden that crime is declining.

Numerous media outlets have, in recent months, run headlines suggesting that crime is declining across the country. The statistics they’re citing, however, don’t tell the entire story.

The federal government has two ways of measuring crime, the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program. The former asks around 240,000 Americans if they’ve been the victim of a crime in the last year whereas the latter relies on crimes reported to police in a given year and shared with the bureau.

A gap has emerged between the two measures. More people are telling the Bureau of Justice Statistics that they’ve been victimized, but the FBI is reporting fewer crimes.

14 Reasons Why Young Men Are Turning Their Backs on Feminism

Recent findings from King's College London's Policy Institute and Global Institute for Women's Leadership expose a growing gender split among Generation Z regarding feminism and progressive ideas. The Guardian reports that only 43% of young men believe feminism has done more good than harm, signaling a departure from the traditionally progressive image associated with this demographic.

White House: ‘Not Clear’ Israel Can Have Rafah Offensive Plan That Would Satisfy Us

On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports,” White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan stated that it’s “not clear” that it’s even possible for Israel to have “a credible plan” for an invasion of Rafah that the White House would support.

Sullivan said, “[W]e have made clear that our policy in Gaza will be determined by the steps Israel takes, both with respect to facilitating humanitarian assistance that can save lives, and with respect to civilian protection as it conducts its operations. We have also made clear our absolute deep and fundamental concern about a major military operation in Rafah, because we believe, first, it’s where the aid is coming in. And if you cut that aid off, it makes it more difficult to feed and house people. Second, as you said, it’s where more than a million people are sheltering because they’ve been progressively moved there as Israel has continued its campaign. And it’s not clear to us that there can be a credible plan for where they go to have shelter, housing, medicine, and all of the things that they need. So, we continue to express our concerns publically and privately to the Israeli government. I have dealt with them directly on this issue. And we will continue to do that. I don’t want to get into the details of sensitive diplomatic conversations. I would just say, the U.S. position on this issue remains clear. And Israel understands where we are coming from.”

He added, “[W]e are going to continue to make our decisions based on what he believes is in the best interests of the American people and is most consistent with American values. That is what is guiding him today and it will guide him always through the remainder of this conflict.”

‘Hypocritical’ anti-cop NYC council members plead for NYPD protection after receiving ‘scary’ threats
Story by Amanda Woods, Larry Celona, Craig McCarthy, Jorge Fitz-Gibbon • 18h •

A squad of anti-cop City Council members are singing a different tune after getting death threats — and are now pleading with New York’s Finest to come to the rescue, The Post has learned.

Staffers for the cop-bashing pols complained to each other and council security staffers about the “scary” threats — and are calling on the NYPD to protect them, according to sources.

“It’s disgusting,” one staffer texted a council colleague. “I’ve clutched my non-existent pearls at some of the threats made against [Councilman Chi] Osse (D-Brooklyn). And some have been thought to be credible as per security and NYPD.

“And for him to be such a critic, if the PD says we need to evacuate/be careful and then listen.”

Closure of nuclear plant sparks debate as new problem arises: 'It's been a real step backward'
© Provided by The Cool Down

The 2017 decision by New York energy officials to begin closing the Indian Point nuclear power plant couldn't have been an easy one to make, but it was initially perceived as a win for the environment. Now, the fallout of the decision is raising new questions.

What happened?
By shuttering the facility, officials eliminated an installation with a growing amount of risky incidents, according to published reports, per the Guardian. The move also provided an opportunity for the state's renewable commitments to shine.

However, the nuclear powerhouse had been generating air pollution-free energy since being licensed in the 1970s, serving as one of the state's 10 largest electricity makers, according to the federal government.

But natural gas has surpassed the wind and sun in replacing the fission reactor's generation in the Empire State, per a J.P. Morgan report.

Electric 18-Wheelers Are Dumber Than Regular Electric Cars
©Source: Blackmon

Electric cars are the way of the future! Or, so electric car manufacturers – and the government – would have you believe. The move to electric cars is understandably motivated by concerns about greenhouse gas emissions and global warming, but the attempt to transition into green energy has led to some missteps.
