Democrats call for special prosecutor to investigate clearing of protesters outside White House

Over 80 House Democrats on Thursday called for the Justice Department to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate an incident in which law enforcement broke up a peaceful protest outside the White House.
In a letter to Attorney General William Barr led by Rep. David Cicilline (R.I.), the lawmakers expressed alarm over the use of smoke grenades, pepper balls and other devices to disperse the crowd in Lafayette Square. The suppression of the protest, which was reportedly directed by Barr himself, was followed by a photo opportunity at a nearby church for President Trump and other administration officials.
“We could not understand why such aggressive tactics were used…until we saw the President, yourself, and several senior White House officials walk through the site of the protest to film a cynical, political propaganda video that the White House later released through social media,†Cicilline wrote.
“Given the issues at stake, and your evident role in suppressing the right of the American people to redress their grievances, it is clear that a special prosecutor must be appointed to investigate your actions and the actions of all executive branch officials involved in this action," he added.

Democrats want a 'special prosecutor' every single day of Trump's life, just for him breathing.
Democrats are so deeply and horribly corrupt and guilty, it is a matter of life and death for Democrats to keep the distractions going at any cost, and to always keep the finger pointed away from them toward Trump or any Republican at all. They don't care. If they feel like they are about to be exposed, they will call on Soros and his Brownshirts (Antifa) to burn the whole country down before they allow that to happen.

Considering the possibility of what they were up against (a breach of the White House grounds), the Secret Service acted with considerable restraint.
I can't imagine the Service backing off and permitting that to happen.
Not without a hell of a fight, literally with guns blazing.

I don't see many blue sleeved Park Police. They're behind behind the front line and straggling at the bottom right of the video, but I do see military fatigues in front and who in the heck are these storm troopers? pointing-down

I hope the purge in November of Democommies is so large, they are left with but a handful in Congress.
I believe many of them should be indicted to sedition and treason and dispatched. What they have done for the last couple decades is truly criminal.

@PeteS Trump said the military wasn't deployed against American citizens. Mattis said they were. Maybe Mattis doesn't recognize their uniforms or the words "Military Police." You are right though...Our military cut through those peaceful protesters like they were peaceful protesters. :patriot:

When your enemy is destroying itself (by dismantling police)... it's probably a good idea to stand back and let them have at it. While pointing and laughing, of course. I think of it this way.... they get rid of their police forces... that will equate to less DemocRat votes/voters. :smokin:

When your enemy is destroying itself (by dismantling police)... it's probably a good idea to stand back and let them have at it. While pointing and laughing, of course. I think of it this way.... they get rid of their police forces... that will equate to less DemocRat votes/voters. :smokin:

Well...I'm in Texas. And they can ""insist"" all they please. It ain't gonna happen. They may control the few big cities, but trust me... they are vastly outnumbered and we know exactly where to find them.

Then Trump comes along and pushes his Prison reform where violent criminals, sex offenders and drug dealers are let out early. And if you weren't lucky enough to get let out in the First Act of prison reform you might have won the coronavirus lottery. Where AG gave the order to release prisoners so they didn't get Corona Virus.
And then there are the politician criminals too that are released under presidential lottery. And the politician criminals who only get a slap on the wrist for fraud, tax evasion, inside trading...……………...

No, I would not. I am the "law and order" gal. You have the wrong girl. If people are breaking the law they should do the time. There was no reason to let them out. COVID on the outside. COVID on the inside. I am sorry, but no sympathy they got themselves into prison and if they are more likely to get COVID there that's their problem.
